Modi family was in the hospital. It was a late night but they couldn’t even think about sleep. All that mattered to them was the condition of Kokila. They hadn’t eaten with hours. But what was hunger compared to the condition of their beloved family member. All they wanted was Kokila to be fine. Nothing else mattered to them. Not even hunger, not even thirst.
And as they were sitting there, suddenly a nurse came out of the room.
“Namaste.”She said.
“Nurse? How is mum?”Ahem asked.
“Listen. I will be honest with you. Her condition isn’t good at all. You said that Mrs Kokila Modi has fallen into a river. And upon falling, she has hit her head into a stone. And Modi family left the hospital.
It was a late night but Gaura wasn’t sleeping. She was in the hospital, but Modi didn’t see her for she was hiding. She was waiting for them to go away.
“Now is the time.”Gaura thought. Ï will finally finish what I started. Kokila should never wake up. Because if she does, she will tell her family everything. I have to kill her here. I couldn’t drown her but now… Now I will finish what I started. No one will see me now.”
And with that said, Gaura walked into the room of Kokila. Kokila was sleeping.
Gaura got closer to her and looked into her eyes.
“Namaste, dear friend of mine.”She then said. “How are you? Oh, I see. You are not fine at all. Tell me, how did it feel being drowned? Did it feel nice? Did you feel sad, or scared? In the last seconds of your life, did you think about your family? About our friendship? Did you recall the events of the day you ruined my life, my childhood? Did you hear the final screams of my brother as he was burning in the fire? I am so sorry you had to go through this. But you know what? You deserve it, my friend. All of it. And you know what, Kokila? You are very lucky. Your Gopi risked her life to safe you. You are alive now because of her. And I don’t like that. This wasn’t my plan for you. Gopi ruined my plans. But don’t worry. I will not give up that easy. Now, I am here to finish what I started. I am here to put an end to your life forever. And this time, no one will safe you. Are you wondering how I entered here without no one to see me? Your family is at the temple now. They will pray for you to get better. But I know that their prayers will not be heard. Because now, I will end your life. And this time, it will be for real. Forgive me, Kokila. Forgive me. But you know that it’s all your fault, don’t you? Gaura got scared for a minute. An expression of shock could be seen on her face but she was quick to hide it.
“Nothing.”She then replied. Ï just wanted to see her. This is my best friend. I didn’t ask anyone for permission because when I came here, no one was around.”
“Fine. But you must leave now. We don’t allow anyone to see her yet. Even her family. You are not a relative of Mrs Modi so you must leave, now!”
“Fine.”Gaura said. Ï am leaving.”
And then she left.
She was angry and furious. Why every time she tried to kill Kokila something was happening?
“I failed again!”She thought. “Just when I was about to poison her the nurse appeared. Kokila Modi is so lucky. But no, I will not give up that easy. Gaura Suryavanshi never gives up that easy.
