The night soon arrived. Everyone in Suryavanshi family was asleep, except Gaura. She was preparing to go and see Bhavani.
She quietly left her room, trying not to wake up someone. Then again, she went through the door and left outside of the house. Gaura had prepared some food for Bhavani. If she wanted to torture her, she had to keep her alive.
And in 20 minutes, Gaura arrived. She unlocked the door and entered in. Bhavani got happy when she heard the door unlocking. At least she would finally eat something and she would see a human being. Being locked alone in a dark place wasn’t something that Bhavani was used to.
“Namaste, Bhavani.” Gaura said. “Did I wake you up? I am sorry if I did. But see, I broad you some food. You must be hungry by now. There’s also some water for you.”
And Gaura handed the food to Bhavani. Gaura just sat there and watched as Bhavani quickly ate everything.
“So, do you like it being here alone?” Gaura said.
“Keeping me here is the worst mistake of your life, Gaura.” Bhavani replied. “When I get out of here, it will be your turn to suffer.”
“Be thankful that I gave you food and water. If I want to torture you, I must keep you alive. And you know what? Everyone at home got worried for you. But I convinced them that you have left on your own, deciding to finally leave them alone. And they believed. At first they were hesitant. But eventually, I could convince everyone that you have decided to stop torturing them. Dharam, Vidiya, Shravan, they are so relieved. They are now sleeping with happy expressions on their faces. Knowing that they will never see you again.”
“What did you do to make them believe such a lie?”
“I will show you.”
And Gaura gave Bhavani the fake letter.
“How did you imitate my handwriting so well?” Bhavani asked, surprised.
“Through the short time we were friends, I learned a lot of things about you, including your handwriting stile. It was easy for me to copy it. And what’s more, when I entered your room your belongings were there. I moved them to my room and again, the family thought that you have left them forever. What will you say about that?”
“I must say, you are very good at lying. But I will also tell you that your game will not last forever. Once I get out of here, I will make your life a living hell. Trust me. You will regret every second of it.”
“Ha, ha, ha! Do you really think I will get scared by your words? I am Gaura Suryavanshi and the world fears me. I don’t fear the world.”
“You can’t keep me here forever. It may not be easy, it may take a lot of time, I may struggle a lot but eventually, I will find a way out of here. And then, even Maa Durga will not safe you from me.”
“stop threatening me, Bhavani! Don’t forget that what happens now is because of you , not me. You chose to betray me. I was the only person in the world that loved you truly. But you decided to leave me because of a person that doesn’t even care about you. Your dear Dharam is better living without you and he shows it every second when you are not near him. If you had decided to stay with me until the end, no one would touch you and nothing bad would happen to you. People would be even afraid to pronounce your name. I would be with you in everything. I would keep you safe from all enemies and everyone that would try to stand between us would probably meet death. But now that you decided to forget about me, I will not help you in anything, even in avenging the Modis. And what’s more, I don’t plan on keeping you alive for a long time. Because I have one strict rule in life and that is, if you stand by me I will keep you safe from all dangers. But if you choose to betray me and be my enemy, you are as good as dead.”
These words really seemed to scare Bhavani. The confident look on her face now disappeared. Only a few minutes ago, she was sure that she would find a way out but now… Now after hearing this, her confidence turned into fear. A fear for her life. She didn’t want to die yet. She was too young for that.
And Gaura seemed to notice Bhavani’s worried expression.
“What happened, Bhavani? Where did your confidence go?” Gaura asked, smiling at her.
“If you wish to kill me, fine. But I have only one wish. I want to see Dharam for a last time before I die. Will you do that for me?”
“Perhaps I will. But don’t think about it now, I will not take away your life just yet. I want to torture you first. I want to show you what it’s like to play with Gaura. Before you die, you must first realize that trying to trick me is a losing game.”
“And how did I trick you?”
“Well, listen. When I was about to marry Dharam to Divya, you tried to poison her but you killed your husband instead. It took me a long time but eventually, I realized that all the things that happened were your fault. I started noticing the way you behave when Dharam was around. Just I didn’t want to accept it at first. I didn’t want to think that just one more person in my life has turned into an enemy.
“How long I have left to live?”
“Don’t worry, your life isn’t going to end soon. As I said, you shall experience torture first. Well, I will leave you alone now. I will go back to the mansion. I see that you are tired. And I am tired as well. And tomorrow night, we will meet again. Sweet dreams, Bhavani.”
And then, Gaura left and locked the door again. Bhavani was left alone again, locked in this empty dark place. She had to found a way to escape. She had to try freeing herself from the ropes once again. Even if it would be a useless attempt, she had to try.
One day later. The Suryavanshis stopped asking for Bhavani at all. They were happy to know that she was out of their life forever. And through the whole day, Bhavani was alone again, trying to free herself. And again, all her attempts were unsuccessful. But that would change soon.
And again, the day turned into a night. Gaura would go to see Bhavani, just as she did the previous night. She would give her some food again. And maybe they would have a conversation like the night before. Or would they?
And so, Gaura left the house, just like she did the previous night and again, she was unnoticed. After 20 minutes, she was in front of the place where she kept Bhavani. She unlocked the door and entered in. But shockingly, Bhavani was not there.
Gaura was very surprised. Her surprised turned into anger, then her anger turned into shock and finally the shock turned into confusion. What could have happened? How Bhavani could have found a way to escape and free herself?”
“I will find her!” Gaura said, staring into the emptiness. Someone must have helped her. But who? Who could be that brave to stand against me? I will find out. And no matter what, Bhavani and the person that has helped her will be punished. And this time, I will really kill Bhavani. I am starting to think that leaving her alive was a very, very big mistake. But no worries, I will correct my mistake the moment I find Bhavani again. And it will be soon. Very, very soon!”
And just then, Gaura remembered that she had set up a few cameras around the place where she kept Bhavani. She would look into the recordings, she just needed some time to realize what just had happened.
30 minutes later, Gaura was still there, sitting by herself at this lonely place. She was readying herself to look at the cameras. But the things that she would see there would provide her more questions than answers. She wasn’t ready for the truth. She wasn’t ready to see who has helped Bhavani. It was someone whom she never thought would be.
