Bhavani could hardly sleep that night. The conversation she had with Gaura, and the fact that she was now exposed troubled her greatly.
She was afraid that Gaura would keep an eye on her from now on. But also, she was worried for Dharam’s safety.
She decided that the next morning, she would admit everything to him. Not about her feelings, but about Gaura’s intentions.
The new day arrived. Everyone went down for breakfast. Bhavani tried to act normally, but Vidya noticed that something was wrong as tension could be felt between Gaura and her friend. However,
she would first take her daughter to school and would then try to find out what was actually going on.
One hour later, Vidya left with Priyal, Dharam and Shravan went to work and Gaura and Bhavani stayed alone. After the conversation they had last night, Bhavani did not know what to say and Gaura was giving her frightful stares.
finally, she decided to break the silence.
“Bhavani, why so silent today? Does something worries you?”
“Oh, Gaura behen. Bhavani never gets worried about anything. And the only person who has to worry is you, not me.”
“Really? How so?”
“I think you have to be worried. You may get exposed real soon.”
“Are you going to expose me? Who will believe you? Vidya does not like you at all, Shravan is naive and no matter what I do, he will always protect me in the name of family and stuff, and Dharam is manipulated to such a point
where he thinks that I have changed for good and I mean no harm to anyone.”
“You are right, unfortunately. But a little try never hurts, does it?”
“Not only that it will hurt, but it might be the reason for your death as well. I think you’re to young to go away from this world, but playing games with Gaura leads to only one end if you’re cheating.”
Sometime later, Vidya came back. She had just left Priyal at her school and she would now attempt to understand what, and if something was going on between Gaura and Bhavani.
She found Gaura alone as Bhavani had left to take care of the villages she ruled.
“Baaji, is there something wrong?” Vidya asked.
“No. Everything’s just fine. Why are you asking? And why there should be something wrong?”
“Baaji, please don’t deny the obvious. There’s tension between you and Bhavani. Yesterday things were different, what happened all of a sudden? Perhaps you had realized the truth?
Or Bhavani refuses to listen to your plans anymore?”
“Whatever it is, I can handle it all by myself. Do not worry about Bhavani, she will be punished, sooner or later.”
A few hours later. All members of the family were at home. Bhavani decided that it was the best time to at least try and admit Dharam the truth about the real intentions of his mother.
“Dharamji, may I talk to you about something?” She said.
“What is it, Bhavani?”
“there’s a danger for you.”
“What do you mean?”
“The person that gave you live is ready to take it away from you at any moment!”
Dharam stared at her questioningly.
“Your own mother, the woman that has broad you to this world… She hates you. She is ready to kill you without even thinking for a moment.”
“Bhavani, please stop it.” He replied. “My mother is not such a person. She is not the woman she was before. Since she got released from prison, she has completely changed. She loves me and the family.”
“But, Dharamji.”
“Bhavani. You better don’t say anything. I don’t know why are you saying these things about my mother. The next time you do this, I will tell her everything and perhaps your friendship will come to an end.”
After dinner was over and vidya had put Priyal to bed, it seemed like everyone was asleep and Bhavani, disappointed by
the conversation she had with Dharam, went into her room. She would think of more ideas on how to expose Gaura.
But when she entered, she saw Gaura, standing in front of her and smiling. Her evil smile was so bright that it could illuminate the room.
Before she could say something, her friend began to talk.
“What happened, my friend? Did your Dharamji listen to what you had to say? Did he believe you, what did he say? Is he going to send me in prison soon?”
“How do you know about that?”
“Bhavaniii! My name is Gaura Suryavanshi! I knew you would do such a thing, and I warned you not to do that! I heard your whole conversation! I told you that he will not believe a word you say!”
“He may not believe me at first, but I will do anything to show him the truth! I will never let you do something bad to my Dharamji! I will protect him from you!”
“You can’t. Whatever you do, you will never be smarter than me. You can’t win over Gaura, never.”
“I am warning you for the last time, stay away from Dharam!”
“Don’t get so angry. I did not do anything to him yet. But if you don’t change the way you talk to me, you will be the next victim.”
“We will see that.”
And afterwards, Gaura left Bhavani alone.
Days were passing by and Bhavani and Dharam became friends. During the absence of Meera, Dharam realized that the twins needed a mother and he kindly asked Bhavani if she could take care of them.
She reluctantly agreed as she wasn’t used to taking care of children.
But for her Dharamji, she promised herself to do anything. No matter how irritating it all was for her, she tried to be the best mother she could.
But Gaura didn’t seem to like this situation. She knew that Bhavani was only pretending to be interested in taking care of the children, but she feared it that Dharam could also start falling for her.
And because of that, she decided to tell him everything about her and her feelings.
“Dharam, we have to talk about Bhavani.” She said.
“What is it, mum?”
“I know that you feel better now that she takes care of Ahem and Meedha. But don’t you think there’s any reason for her to do that?”
“No. What could it be? She just wants to help. Don’t you see, since Meera left us, Bhavani is the only woman really interested in my children. They need a mother, after all.”
“No, son. She does that because she is in love with you.”
“What are you saying, mum?”
“I am telling the truth. You know we are best friends and she admitted everything to me. She does not love your children, she loves you. Just be careful with her.”
After she exposed Bhavani in front of Dharam, Gaura felt very happy. She was waiting for Bhavani to come back, as currently she wasn’t at the house, and she would tell her how her Dharamji now knew everything.
Soon that happened. Gaura’s friend came back. She didn’t even suspect what had happened while she was away.
But she realized it very soon when she noticed how Dharam wasn’t that friendly anymore. He started to distance himself from her. He didn’t allow her to take care of the children anymore.
Bhavani quickly realized that Gaura could be responsible for Dharam’s sudden change. She immediately went up to her.
“you shouldn’t have done that, Gaura!” She said. “That was the biggest mistake of your life!”
“What is it, Bhavani?”
“Don’t pretend that you don’t know what I’m talking about. You have told Dharamji everything, haven’t you?”
“Yes, I did. I told him the truth. You only use his children to find a reason to be around him. You’re trying to win his trust and you want him to fall for you, right?”
“Why do you care that much? You said he isn’t your son anymore, didn’t you?”
“That’s right. I have no connection to this family whatsoever. The only thing they deserve is suffering. You deserve it, too. You tricked me and you will not get away with that.”
“Do what you will. I will not give up and one day, I will marry him and become the mistress of this house. It’s only a matter of time.”
