He’s observing her as she’s studying on the bed…
Sucking on the tip of her pen…writing then thinking and then reading…
Many books were around and the whole space around her was messy…
But she’s absorbed by her studies and her cheeks are pinky after so much concentration
He was there staring at her, forgetting about the files before him
Seeing her expression changes at every task she’s doing
He’s amused, he’s ready to see the whole day and night
The way her hair…her curly black hairs was naturally falling on her shoulders
And then like by magic, she looked up
He was staring at her , so their eyes meet
And his expression changed to a more firm and serious one
He looked away instantly, and then starts typing on his laptop
Soumya smiled instantly too and back to her studies
They hear a knock on the door and both looked at each other, before Soumya jumped out of the bed and runs to open
It was Anika, coming with chai for both of them
Anika-tea for my angels!
Soumya-Bhabhi…please come in!
Soumya takes the plate from her and invited her in
Anika-oh but I won’t disturb, I just come with tea for you, I know you’re both busy!
Rudra-bhabi! Come in!
Anika went to him , she looked around the room
Anika-oh…you really working here, I can see!…I should go too…I’m goanna take the tea with Prinku and gauri
Soumya-really?! bhabhi can I join you too?…I finished studying
Anika-yes! Of course! Come! We are planning to watch a movie
Soumya smiled taking only her mug of tea, Anika held her and both went out of the room, leaving Rudra behind
Anika-we’ll let you work Rudra!
Rudra- Yeah!! Of course!
But He won’t let her go!
He won’t…he looked at her while she left and his heart skipped a bit…
What’s happening to him!
He fights the desire to run and stop her!
She will be next room…he convinced himself
Rudra-don’t be late!
He said seriously
And both of the ladies look around at him
Anika-No! Rudra, she will not…she will come back here in time!
Anika retains a laugh by biting on her lips and she drugged Soumya outside

When she comes after not even half an hour, he was surprised
She opened the door softly and looked at him
Soumya-I…I’m sleepy…so, I come!
She said avoiding his eyes and then, she arranged her books and stuffs and prepared the bed
She lied there
Soumya-good night
She said closing her eyes, breathing heavily
Now, since their marriage, this is her favorite time…
When finally, they come closer in the bed…he would lie next to her, she would feel safe when he’s there around…
Nothing bad would come to her and he’s…he’s so powerful…his regular breath, he’s smelling so good
And just by feeling that he’s here, next to her…it made her happy and her heart is feeling a warmness she never felt before…
It’s becoming familiar, after just two weeks of their marriage
He’s coming, she could feel it, hearing that he’s out of bathroom, she knows he will come straight his side of the bed but no…
He comes her side…
She kept her eyes closed when he sits so closer and she felt the tip of his finger, pushing a lock of her hair away of her face
And then he walked back…to his side of bed
He lied down next to her like always
And she takes a deep breath
And then, suddenly, she turned and hugged him
Rudra-you’re awake?!
Soumya-…
Rudra-Soumya?
Soumya-yes…
He thought she was sleeping
He wanted to scold her but he’s feeling her in between his arms and this…
This is heaven on earth
Rudra-what are you doing?…are you scared again?
He said looking at her holding him tight
Her way to hug him…it felt right…and she fits him perfectly
Soumya-yes…yes… I’m scared!
It’s her second lie for today…
(First, she lied at them all that she’s sleepy to come back to him fast and now, this!)
Rudra-it’s ok…you sleep
He said to assure her
Then she tightened the hug and closed her eyes
He wasn’t able to breathe…he forgets how
She’s there, so close…sleeping in between his arms…he looks down at her
Baby face…so beautiful…as a doll, an angel…
His baby bride…
She slept like that peacefully till morning…

each morning, Rudra dropped Soumya to her college and he comes back when she finish to take her home
this evening also, he waits for her, in his car…
he was wearing his three pieces suit, a grey tie and his sunglasses and looked at her as she looked the car side, gestured bye to her classmates and walked to him with a weak shy smile
she gets in the car and greets him
whenever she looked at him, she feels that her heart is ready to jump out of her chest, so she hugs her books tightly
he’s silent and never look her side
Soumya-how is your day in office?
“good” Is always his answer but today, he looked her side for a little bit and comes back to concentrate on his driving
Rudra-it’s not good!
Soumya-really?…how?…I mean why? Something happened? Is everything ok? I mean…you ok?
She tensed, asking him non stop
Rudra-it’s ok…
He looked at her with a mysterious smirk and then comes back to look to the road before him
Soumya-are you telling this just to make me calm?
She said looking with her innocent questioning eyes
Rudra-the only fact is that I wasn’t able to work today!
He answered honestly
Soumya-why??…I mean…are you sick?
She instantly puts her hand on his forehead to check if he has fever
Rudra-Soumya! I’m driving here!
She retired her hand so fast, biting her lower lip
Rudra-no! I’m alright!
Soumya-then?…what is it?…why you couldn’t work today?
Rudra-it has no reason!
It has a reason…it maybe her…so soft and so innocent, sleeping on his arms, so closer that he could feel her everywhere against his body…
He couldn’t sleep…
He couldn’t breathe last night!
It was just…something beyond imagination how much she’s innocent and pure and trusts him when she comes that closer, every night
Her hairs caressing his arms every night
Her regular and warm breath against his chest
One normal human could not handle all that without becoming insane
Soumya-Rudra…
The way she pronounce his name…it makes his heart melt
Rudra-hmm
He answered weakly…he’s really tired…
Soumya-I thought to buy something sweet for Dadi and everyone else in the home, before we went back…
Rudra-something sweet?
Soumya-yeah…I mean maybe…icecream?…it will cheer you up too! the shop I know buys every kind of ice cream and we could find some sugar free icecream too, you will see, it has his effect, I promise, and this evening you could work hard!
He looked at her, she’s smiling…
Rudra-and where’s this shop?!
Could he refuse something to her???
No! Never! He couldn’t! he just couldn’t!
