Ruhaniyaat (Segment 90)

Her point of view –
“There you go mom…all ready ..” i said fixing mom’s pallu (aanchal) over her head .
“Thank you so much beta.” She said blessing me.
“Lagta aaj the men of the family are going to die..” teased my sister..
“Yea yea tabhi tumne itna makeup kiya hai ..” i replied and she blushed..
John was family
Papa considered him as his son and Dex as his brother.
“Si si ..” yelled the kids when they came running in..
“Baby how many times i have to tell you not to run” their mother scolded them..
Typical mothers..
“Yes love..” i said and crouched down to their level..
“Lion said he will eat everyone up if you don’t come out..” they said..
“Did he say that..?” I asked faking innocence..
Dex kabhi nai sudhar sakte..
“Mom i will be back.” I said and let the twins drag me to their Lion…
“Baby please my fix my tie..” whined Dex as soon as he saw me..
I took a minute to take in his appreance.
He wore a black shirt with a checked black suit and a white tie..
“Dexy you could have asked John to do so….you know i was busy .”
“Yea but..”
“But kya..?”
“I couldn’t have pulled him closer like this ..” he said pulling me closer..
“And..?”
“I couldn’t have kissed him like this..” he said kissing my throat..
“Hm….”
“And like this..” he whispered in my ear before biting my ear lobe..
“Lion is eating si..” yelled my little princess before running away to fetch her brother..

Minutes later John came running behind her with an amused smile..
“Bhai there are kids around..” he teased Dex and winked at me..
“As if you don’t steal kisses from their mother..” dex snorted and i widened my eyes..
“Guys..” i said and pointed below us where the twins were listening to us intently..
“Come babu..” i picked up both the tiny tots and the boys followed close..
“Can we come in please..?”
“No..” i said handing them the twins and closed the door behind me.
“So all set ??” I asked mom and my sister..
“Yup” they chirped in unison.

His point of view –
Me and John both held each twin and walked up to the main hall to all the guest and our impatient father..
When we reached there..suddenly the lights dimmed and princess hid herself in my arms..
“Hey its alright baby..” said Pie from beside me.
She was finally ready and looked heavenly in her black saree with red border..
“Staring is rude mr” she said winking..

Before i could reply the music started
Sukh dukh jhoothe

Prem ratan paaya.

i recognised it as mom’s voice before she came descending the stairs..

All the women finished and looked at us smilling..
Suddenly the kids ran up to their mom.
The three of them walked to a shocked John before kneeling down in front of him.
“Will you be our Daddy..?” The twin chorused while their mother held the ring box open to a now crying John..
“Yes” he screamnt before giving his new family a bear hug while the guest cheered..
