Ruhaniyaat (Segment 133)

Her point of view –
The alarm goes off as usual at 7 and Dex groans beside me.
“Who is it so late at night..?” He groans and buries his head further in my back..
“Its just the alarm baby..” i say ruffling his hair allowing him to calm down and go back to sleep..
He needs to sleep in as he was up all last night checking on me and junior
I slip out of bed and inch my whimpering son close to Dex’s searching hands.
Both snuggle close together and are asleep instantly..

I quickly take a bath and pack our stuff..
We are leaving for home today as Dex needs to join back in office day after tomorrow..
I prepare breakfast for everyone and head upstairs with Dex’s coffee..
I find my sister on the steps who seems to be busy explaining something to the twins..
“Baby if we don’t go today then how will we come back next time..?”
“But momma i don’t want to go..”
I give her a thumps up and continue my way upstairs..
In the room i find the father son duo still asleep together..

“Dex..” i call out to him shaking him gently..
“Hmm..”
“Wake up baby ..we have to go back home.” I say pecking his cheek..
He sits up and rests his back on the headrest..
“Come here”he says extending his arms out and i scoot closer to him..
I hand him his coffee and he burries his head in my neck..

I pick up my son and cuddle him close to my chest..
“Hey baby good morning.” I coo to my son and he smiles up at me..
Our son loves mornings and he always wakes up in a good mood..
He certainly hasn’t picked this trait from Dex..
After lots of cuddles and hugs later we three head down for breakfast..
“Finally i thought you guys won’t come down ” John teases and Dex glares at him..

“Don’t tease my lovebirds” mom says and everybody on the table laughs..
We finish our breakfast quickly trying to save ourselves from the teasings and head to ashram to meet the baby..
“Pie this is nani and nani this is my wife and my son..” Dex introduces and i bend down to touch her feet..
“God bless you bete .. you are very beautiful..”
“Nani where is he..?” Dex asks eager to meet the baby and i don’t miss the shine in his eyes as he talks about him..

“He is inside..why don’t you come in..” she says and we enter inside the ashram..
Dex races in and picks him up in his arms and he giggles at him..
Dex hugs him close and sighs in content..
Content of meeting someone close after a very very long time..
“It dosen’t seem like he has met him only 4 days ago..its like they know each other for ages..” Nani says and i understand what she is trying to say..
Dex and the baby do share a special bond and i can see he is totally smitten by him..
“Can you please hold him.?” I ask handing her junior..
“Ofcourse” she says and she walks out.

“Can i hold him..?” I question Dex and he hands me the baby..
“Hi baby ..how are you ..?” I coo to him and he gurgles..
He has beautiful green eyes and black curly hair..
“I know i know.” He hugs too tight..” and i continue talking to him..
His point of view –

I watch as Pie talks to him about me and I hope she likes him..
“You are a very lucky man..” nani says handing over Junior to me who had started to fuss…
“Pie i think he is hungry..”
“Okay lets go back..” she says and starts walking with the baby in her hands..
“What ..?” She asks looking at me confused when i don’t follow her
“What about him..?” I say motioning over to baby.
“We decided last night Dex..”

“And ..?”
“And what..? We are adopting him” she says like its nothing .
“We are..?” I ask just to conform that i am not hallucinating..
“Yes Dex now hurry up..junior needs to eat..” and with that she was out and heading home..
When we get home we find everybody sitting in the hall..

“Whose kid is that..?” Papa asks
“We want to adopt him..” i answer and papa looks at Pie for confirmation..
She dosen’t says anything and thats when Papa walks out of the room..
“What did just happen.?” I question John and he shrugs..
I just hope everything is alright..
