Ruhaniyaat (Segment 118)

Her point of view-
We entered the beach house and i instantly reached for the couch…
I need to stretch my god damn back..
“Ahh.. ” i sighed sitting down .
This pregnancy is taking a toll on me..
I looked over at Dex who was busy staring at the sunset..
He tends to do that whenever we get here..stare at the sunset far far away..
I lie back on the sofa and admire my handsome husband..
I just can’t believe how lucky i am to have him in my life..
My mind drifts off to our first meeting.
I had walked in the cafe and he had looked so adorable..
Sitting on one of the tables looking all confident when he was a mess on the inside..
He was the captain of the football team of the college that time and was handling the office as well..
And never did he think of giving up or quiting.
And oh God..

He was hot..!
And hardworking
And did i mention hot..
I had seen him at his lows and even when he was out to conquer the world but never had i questioned my decision.
The decision of trusting him with my life.
“Aise na mujhe tum dekho seene se laga lunga ..
dil main kahi chupa lunga..”
I dint even realise i was staring at him for that long.
Geez..
I looked at him amused..
“Like really Dex..?” This is the best he could think of..
“What would you like to have..? I am hungry..” i asked getting up from the couch and twirling my hair into a messy bun.
“And where do you think you are going love..?”
“To cook dinner duh.”
Whats wrong with Dex ..why is he acting so weird..?
“Oh no you are not..” he said pushing me back on the couch .
“But i am hungry and you haven’t eaten too..”
“Haan to hazir hain Chef Daddy ” he said bowing down and wearing a chef hat.
Where did he get that hat from.?
This is getting super weird
“But you can’t cook..”i state
“Yes mam but i am good at following instructions..after all i am a well trained husband..”
“Sweetheart i think you are gonna sleep on the couch today..because with these wife jokes you are not getting anywhere near me or the bed.”
His point of view –
“Bhai marwaega kya..?” Yelled my inner voice .
No wonder John itna darta kyun tha bhabhi se pregnancy main..
“Sorry baby..tum waha baith kar instruction de do..main khana bana lunga.” I tried ..
Note the word tried ..
“Nai Nai chef daddy..lets see what recipies you have up your sleeves.
Get going.” She said before heading upstairs.
“Bhai tu toh gaya” taunted my inner voice.
“Yaar tum kiski taraf se ho..?” I screamnt back.
And how am i going to cook.
My phone .. shit thats at John’s place.
Beta tu toh gaya.
Her point of view –
I just love teasing Dex…its just like we become kids again..
Teasing each other..pulling each other leg.
I know he is not going to cook anything but i know for the fact that he will try ..atleast for my sake..and thats what i love about this man ..

That he is someone who will climb the highest of the mountains..
Jump in deepest of the oceans for the sake of his family.
The main ingridient of a succesful relationship is to try .
Trying to do even a bit of something that your better half wants.
I hop into the warm shower to soothe my aching back..
Minutes later when i come out i see Dex sitting on the bed with a pout on his face..
“Kya hua Daddy chef..?”
“It got burnt” he mumbled so low that i could barely hear him.
“Acha chalo lets make something together..” i say kissing him on the cheek.
“But i wanted you to relax on this babymoon.” And there it is small small things like these make me fall in love with him all over again..
“Love you know as a wife its my duty to feed you..”
“But baby as a husband its also my duty to take care of you..” he replied smiling..
“I am alright ..come on lets go..” i said grabbing and wearing the shirt that he had changed out of.
