Ruhaniyaat (Segment 112)

His point of view –
“What the hell are you doing here..? ” I snapped at the man in front of me..
“Well i was invited here..” he says waving his invitation card at my face.
“You are lying .” I state.
“Bhai…i invited him here .” Says birdie calmly.
“You did..but why..?”
” I did it for big- b .. Do you know miserable he is..? Ever since he came to know about him…” She says and glances at the man beside her.
“I am outta here..” i state..
“But bhai..the rasam hasn’t started yet.” She exclaims ..
“Yes but i can’t stand being in the same room as him.” I say looking at him in disgust
“Come on Pie we are leaving ” i call out to Pie who is currently with bhabhi and princess.
“What.. why..? ” She questions and then her gaze falls on him

Her point of view –
My worst nightmares of seeing him has come true
What is he doing here. ? I thought i will never see him again..
I will never see bhaiya again.
I look from Dex to bhaiya and back to Dex .
Dex was seething in anger and he marches towards me..
“I said we are leaving..”
“No we are not.” I say a little loudly.
“Its my sister’s function and i am not ruining it from someone who is not important in our lives.”
“But baby what if he hurts you..i don’t want him to be in the same room as you..” he says his teeth clenched .
I know he is angry but i just can’t leave my sister on her big day alone.
“No..he is a spineless creature.. he won’t do a thing..he only knows how to attack in the dark..he is a coward..” i stop midway sensing Ted’s presence in the room.
I glance at the doorway and i let out a breath when i see his confused expressions.
He din’t hear anything.
“Bhai..” bhaiya says but is cut off by Ted when he holds his hand up.
“I am not in a mood for explanation..this is my sister’s day ..don’t ruin it..” he says..
“You know..?” I ask him shocked.
” Yes doll i was told the day of your accident”
“But ..”
“He needed to know bhabhijaan … He was worried sick..” John says
I watch as the three men build a wall between me , sister , kids and bhaiya and birdie
I glance at Ted..who has a weird expression on his face..a cross between hurt anger..and diasapointment.
Birdie looks equally sad .
Whereas John and Dex look angry.

“Baby i am asking you for the last time..are you coming..?”
“No i am not leaving my best friend alone right now he needs me..”
“What the hell is this suppose to mean .?” He growls angrilly..
“Ruhaniyaat hai…tum nai samjhoge ” i say frustrated and he walks away from the party.
“Lets start the ceremony guys.” I call out to everyone so that they gather around the baby and the mother.
“Come on bhua ji.. tell us the name..”
“The name will be titli ” she says her voice mere whisper as she glances at Ted who still holds the weird expression..
“Can i talk to you for a minute..?” I ask Ted and then lead him to the parking lot.
“What’s the matter.?” I question hoping that he will lay his emotions bare in front of me..”
He dsn’t reply simply looks at me lost.
I wrap my arms around him..it hurts when your best friend is in so much pain.
Much like you live the pain with them..
“The sl*t finally showed her true colours .” Bhaiya says walking out from the party.
“Some others have shown them too ” taunts Ted as he puts me behind his back and stands in front of his brother.
“See what you have done sl*t..” bhaiya barks and i wrap my arms around my body .
“Talk to me” Ted says challeningly
“Oh now the b*t*h has made you the spokes person..first that boy friend of hers now you. What is so great in her.. is she good in bed..?”
His words cause tears to spill out of my eyes..

And then i hear a slap..
I look up to see Ted has slapped Bhaiya across his face .
“Ruhaniyaat hain..tumhare jaiso kay liye nai hai jinke liye ladkiya sirf 1 night stand ho..” he says and then takes me back inside.
“Are you okay..?” I question
“I am so sorry doll..i couldn’t protect you from my brother” he says.
“Hey ..you din’t know about it..” i say rubbing his biceps up and down.
“By the way nice body ..no wonder bhabhi coudn’t get her eyes off you.” I tease trying to lighten up the mood.
” We broke up.” He says flatly.
“When..?”
“The day of the accident..” he says and walks away
