Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla Delight in Their Babymoon Amid Pregnancy Joy
Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla, brimming with anticipation for parenthood, recently revealed their pregnancy news on September 16 in an Instagram announcement, sparking an outpouring of congratulations. In a recent interview, the expectant parents shared their excitement about this new chapter in their lives.
Has the realization that you will soon become parents sunk in?
Rubina: I have a mix of emotions about it… there’s excitement and nervousness, and so much to look forward to. Our due date is approaching.
Abhinav: I’ve observed the journey of my brother and friends who have become parents. I have two nieces whom I’ve seen grow, and it’s been an enjoyable ride. I am genuinely excited and eager to embrace parenthood. I know that for at least a year, we’ll have sleepless nights and be very busy, but I’m prepared for that.
Speculations about the pregnancy have been circulating for some time…
Rubina: We wanted to wait for a while before making the announcement. I didn’t pay much attention to the speculations on social media.
Abhinav: We were clear that we wanted to share this wonderful news with our families in person before announcing it to the world. So, we waited until we felt the time was right to share the news on social media.
‘Wanted to enjoy this break before our baby’s arrival’
Presently, the couple is relishing a vacation in the United States. Rubina explains, “Due to work commitments, I hadn’t been on vacation for a long time, so we decided to take a leisurely trip. My gynecologist provided me with this travel timeframe, so I took the opportunity to unwind and spend quality time with Abhinav. We are savoring our babymoon. At this stage, being with myself and introspecting allows me to contemplate and comprehend the changes occurring within me.”
Abhinav adds, “Rubina was quite eager to embark on this journey and relish this break before our baby’s arrival.”
Rubina concluded by saying, “This pregnancy was planned. Two years ago, Abhinav informed me that he was ready to become a father. It was a delightful surprise, and we mutually decided that the timing was right. He is wonderful with children, and we were eager to start our own family.”
