Ronit Roy reacts to the reports of Swaran Ghar going off-air: says, “We should move to the finite show format”

Ronit Roy, who rose to fame with this role as Mr. Rishabh Bajaj from Kasauti Zindagi Kay is super excited for the show to be rerun for TV audiences. For the unversed, Ronit’s character in the show became so popular that Ronit then went on to do many TV shows and even bagged interesting roles in movies too.

Ronit was last seen in Swaran Ghar where he essayed the lead role. Talking about it during a recent interview, he said, “I hadn’t done TV for long since 2015. Swaran Ghar I mounted the show for the initial 10 episodes and then moved on. The show opened to good viewership.”

Swaran Ghar isn’t doing well on the TRP chart now and there are also rumors about the show going off air. To that, the actor said, “After those 10 episodes, my job was over. Whether it gained in viewership after that or not, I didn’t keep track.”

Ronit, who played father to grown-ups in Kasauti Zindagi Kay, added, “I am still playing a father in TV shows. Having said that, I have done TV for 10 years now and feel that the audience’s sensibilities need to change, of course keeping in sync with the narrative style of a show and holding on to our culture. It is important that we move to the finite show format, we need just one finite show to do well and the rest will follow.”
