The controversy between Karan Mehra, Nisha Rawal and Rohita Satia has been getting murkier by the day. Following the interview of Nisha Rawal, Karan Mehra held a press meet after which Kashmera Shah also gave an interview where she supported Karan Mehra.
Now Rohit Satia during a recent interview with BT talked about the Nisha-Karan case, “I knew Nisha much before Karan came into her life. I am right now in Lucknow with my wife (Nidhi) and kid.”
When asked about the reports of his affair with Nisha, he said, “If a man is having an affair outside his marriage, would his wife allow him to come home? On May 31 2021 when Nisha accused Karan of domestic violence. I stood with Nisha like a pillar. I have worked with her to get her justice. There’s a lot; abhi tak kuch nahi pata kisne kya kiya hai aur kya hua hai. But now that my name has been dragged into this, I am obviously not happy. My image has been tarnished. I am consulting my lawyers. I am going to come out with the entire truth of this story but you’ll have to wait for it. I might even have a press conference. I am getting too many calls, but when I read you writing about my phone being constantly ‘vyast hai’, I must tell you that if your number is not registered with me you’ll get that message only.”
Talking about Karan’s allegation that Rohit still has his car, he shared, “How can I take his car? I was told by both Karan and Nisha that it was gifted to Nisha on their first wedding anniversary. The car has nothing to do with me. If the car was parked under my sister’s building, there were two cars that time and Nisha had left the car in question there. Yes, I was there at the time of recovery but that is because Nisha told me to take care of that.”
When asked if Karan did hit Nisha, Rohit replied, “I will speak on this question but after my lawyers allow me to. But let me tell you that I am a witness in this case. There’s something I am giving out here. Ask Karan who is MM. Those are the initials I am giving out. There’s a girl MM in his life. I am not revealing her name now.”
He added, “She was one of the reasons behind Nisha and Karan parting ways. And I must tell here that Nisha and Karan both had called me to Mumbai on May 28, 2021because they wanted to separate.”
Upon being asked about Kashmera’s interview where she revealed that Rohit told her that the CCTV camera was not working in the room where the incident is alleged to have taken place, he replied, “The cam was switched off because I believe Karan had COVID that time and he was staying in a separate room. So he might be coming out of a shower to change his clothes etc. Every time there’s a guest in their guest room, CCTV cameras for that room are switched off.”
When asked about Karan claim about him consuming alcohol, gutka paan etc in his home, Rohit shared that he only drinks occasionally and smokes but never in his house.
Upon being asked if he did Nisha’s kanyadan, he replied, “I was present at the Nisha-Karan wedding. I don’t remember about the kanyadan. I did one brother ka ritual. I think Nisha’s mama (maternal uncle) had done her kanyadan.”
