In a recent interview with Etimes TV, Purohit, who has been married to Sheena Bajaj for five years, opened up about his personal life and potential plans for fatherhood. When asked if he felt any pressure from his parents to start a family, Purohit revealed that while there was initial pressure, the expectations have since evolved.
“Once there was pressure on us, but as of now, we are all on the same page. My dad is retired and my mother is a housewife. They live in Jaipur, so they definitely expect me to begin a family life,” Purohit shared. He further explained that his parents now understand that he and Sheena want to achieve certain goals before embracing parenthood. “They have left the decision to us and have told us that it’s your life; you decide when you want to start a family. So, there is no pressure at all,” he added.
Purohit and Bajaj’s love story began on the sets of their show Arjun in 2012. They quickly became friends and developed a strong bond. Interestingly, it was Sheena who made the first move, proposing to Rohit with cakes and flowers. After dating for almost six years, the couple experienced a brief breakup but later rekindled their romance, culminating in their marriage on January 22, 2019.
Professionally, Rohit Purohit is currently starring in Star Plus’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opposite Samridhii Shukla. Meanwhile, Sheena Bajaj is playing a crucial role in SabTV’s Vanshaj.
