One of the most popular contestants of Roadies 18, Ashish Bhatia has finally won the title along with Nandini. Yes, you heard it right, this time Roadies has had not one but two winners. The young lad is currently in his hometown celebrating his win.
During an interview with ETimes TV he talked about it and shared, “I celebrated my victory with my family and close ones at my hometown where we set up a screen and had dhols along with a huge celebration. It was the most amazing experience as I celebrated my win with my family members – it’s surely a moment I will treasure all my life.”
He added, “My journey in roadies was a roller coaster ride. I was friends with everyone, that’s why it was very difficult for me to choose whom to vote out? My motto and goal this season of roadies were to give my 100% and perform and I did this especially for my mom as it was her dream to see her son win. I am glad that I could do that for her. I dedicate my win to my mother as it was her belief in me that made me go the extra mile and not give up. Undefeated, Independent, and Unstoppable. That’s all happened at Roadies. The journey was commendable but very difficult for all of us (ex roadies) as we were friends before the show. Being friends with 10 contestants is a difficult situation because when it comes to elimination – it’s always hurtful to see one of your friends go.”
When asked about his most memorable moment from the show, he said, “There were honestly too many moments for me to pick from the most memorable moment. To be honest the adrenaline rush during the Sky Diving task was unbelievable. I think that was my favorite task and memorable moment. Skydiving of course and quad biking at the Atlantis dunes was one of the best experiences I had in South Africa. I also enjoyed the different cuisines in South Africa.”
Talking about his bond with Nandini, Ashish shared, “I was lucky to have been paired with Nandini – She has a smart and super-strong personality. She was confident in all our tasks. She is not just a normal girl, but a superwoman to me. It’s the team effort that made us win the title and I don’t think I would be able to do the same without her. We are #SuperstrongBroSis”
Ashish also talked about the host of the season Sonu Sood. “Sonu sir is a great human being. Having to share the screen with him was truly an honor. He is the calmest person I have ever seen. He is a man with a golden heart and having him as our mentor was truly an honor. The experience was truly surreal. I have been a huge fan of Sonu sir’s movies and his action on the big screen. It was always a dream to meet this real-life Roadie. He is very humble. We had tons of fun together.”
When asked about how he feels after getting popular on social media, he replied, “It feels great to know so many people love me for everything that I do and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their constant love and support. It’s amazing to be loved by so many people around the world. I hope I continue to entertain them and keep them engaged with me and my work.”
Talking about his friendship with Soundous Moukafir, he shared, “We were roommates for some time and we became really nice friends. Her accent is amazing and she is a pure soul. I went against her once and I regret it even today. She is a friend who will always push you because of your talent and she will always be there no matter what happens.”
When asked about his future plans, Ashish said, “I am open to being a part of more reality shows and I would love to be a part of Bigg Boss or Khatron Ke Khiladi.”
