My RiKara Drabbles-#8-Love In Bus

“Hold it for a second…” I was ordered by an innocent yet deep voice as a bag was placed in my lap by someone, rather a girl who just occupied the seat next to me in the bus…A deeper glance, she wore a complete bridal attire.

“Excuse me?” I looked towards her confused.

She didn’t reply to that rather just took up the bag from my lap after adjusting herself on the seat and then raised her hand for a handshake smiling, “Gauri…”

“Omkara…By the way, Have you…” I was cut in the middle.

“…run away from your wedding?’ She completed my question in the most cutest tone of the world.

I looked towards her with widened eyebrows while she giggled.

“Yes, I ran away from my wedding…It was fun…” She replied still giggling, my eye widened further.

After a short pause, she again started speaking among her giggles, “Ok, I am sorry…Actually I am a theatre artist, going to give audition for a Movie role in Mumbai and this bus is going to reach Mumbai just at the time of my audition…So needed to get ready and leave na…” She was still laughing as she raised her hands for a Hi-Fi, I didn’t respond.

She looked towards me with narrowed eyes as she pulled back her hand. I twisted my lips in a cute childish smile.

“Rehne Do…Tumse Nahi Hoga, Lagta Hai Salon Se Nahi Hasse…” She said as I straightened my face at her comment.

She looked towards me and I think somewhere concealed a chuckle, then suddenly burst out laughing.

” ‘You are mad’…I know thats what you are thinking so yes…I am mad…” She continued laughing while looking at her laughing face, my lips themselves started curving in an unknown smile.

**

In a world where people hide their laughter, she is the one who loves showing her laughter to the world, in a world chiefly governed by love for our near ones, she was laughing with a stranger, in a world faced with ‘What People will Say’ syndrome, she knows how to tell people, ‘I don’t care about your opinion.’

Needless to say, I fell for her that day…that was my first meet…My first meet with my wife.
