Covid has imposes restriction which impaired the shoot of many shows. The shoots of various shows shifted their shooting location and carried out the shooting with bare minimum resources. &TV’s Santoshi Maa: Sunaye Vrat Katha shifted base to Silvassa, but the cast had to struggle a lot. One of the important actors Sushil Sinha preferred not to shoot amid the pandemic because of safety reasons. And this decision of his not only affected his role in the show but also of Ridheema Tiwari. Ridheema aka Laila’s role was also cut short as her role revolved around Sushil. However, Ridheema was hopeful that her story-line in the show will be revived.
Now, the shoot of the show has been shifted back to Mumbai, Naigaon and Ridheema was also called on the sets. However, the actress learned that her character will soon end.
In a candid chat with a leading entertainment portal, Ridheema said, “I returned on the sets and only after reading the script, I realized that Laila’s journey in the show will come to an end. It’s quite sudden and the exit is going to be abrupt”.
Ridheema further added, “Laila’s character has been very close to my heart. I got to give five performances in a span of four months. I really loved the look of the character and the spice and sass that it added in the show. An artist literally lives the character that he/she plays and the character takes away a part of the artist when it ends. The characters should get at least proper deserving closure. While I bid an adieu to the show with a heavy heart, I would like to express my gratitude to Rashmi Sharma Productions. I enjoyed being Laila. I’m quite an optimistic person and I’m sure something great is waiting for me in my future and now I’ll focus on another beautiful new beginning”.
