LOST TIME – PART 3.3

At VR Mansion:

Ishani rolled down the stairs and fell at the base of the stairs and Aryan and Riddhima rushed to her. Aryan slowly lifted her up and found her unconscious with her forehead bleeding. He went away to her room and Riddhima called the Doctor and Vansh.

After the call:

Riddhima: Why did you do this Sejal? You knew Ishani was pregnant na?

Sejal (taken back): I didn’t know that was Ishani. I really thought it was just you and…

Riddhima: And what? We’re not kids that you’d go around playing something or other. What is this nonsense Sejal?

After she heard Riddhima, she was irked with the kind of wisdom she was throwing at her assuming she was a kid who needed to be told about everything.

Sejal: Don’t act like you’re the only one who’s grown up. You’re so very careless and no one knows that better than me.

Riddhima: I don’t have time to argue with you now. This family needs me and I can’t waste time here.

She turned around to leave but Sejal pulled her back and looked at her in the eye.

Sejal: Don’t you understand you’ve destroyed me for this family? First, you disappeared just like that and then you backed away when I needed your help with the event management company also. You know what? Your parents should’ve killed you the day you were born.

Riddhima slapped her right away, the tears brimming in her eyes. She’d never thought her best friend would oppose her in this way.

Vansh and Angre: Where’s Ishani?

Riddhima took them away to her room and the entire family waited outside the room as the doctor treated Ishani.

Sometime later:

The doctor came out of the room and the entire family began questioning her in worry and anxiousness.

Doctor: She’s fine. You should be thankful she fell on her back, so the child hasn’t been harmed. She has a few cuts and scars but for now she’s unconscious. You can meet her in a few hours.

Meanwhile:

The police came and arrested Sejal on the charges of attempt to murder and the murder of Kabir. They began dragging her away from the mansion when she shouted loudly to call all the Raisinghanias to the living room.

Vansh: Stop shouting! Let the police do their work a jail is what you deserve.

Sejal: And you think that’d solve your problem Mr Raisinghania? You think I’m the mastermind of this game? You’re so wrong, you should’ve asked your loyal detective to do his homework better.

Vansh: Don’t try me Sejal. Just tell me who is behind all this.

Sejal: Your stepmother, Mrs Anupriya Raisinghania. You thought all your problems will be solved by getting her arrested? You’re so silly Vansh.

Vansh: Inspector just take her away I don’t want to see her filthy face in my house anymore. (looking at the Officer) Send me the papers for the mental asylum you were talking of ASAP, I’ll sign them

The cops take Sejal away and the Raisinghanias go back to Ishani’s room, waiting for her to regain consciousness.

Later at Vansh and Riddhima’s room:

Riddhima: Vansh, have this water. It’ll help you calm down.

He threw the glass away from her hand and the glass broke into a million pieces on the floor. He looked at her in rage and anger.

Vansh: I told you we can’t trust Sejal but you were so sure about her. See now what she’s done to Ishani

Riddhima: I don’t know how this happened Vansh. She was going to push me but…

Vansh (furiously): Are you listening to yourself Riddhima? I’m not saying this because she mistook Ishani to be you but because you trusted her. She stayed with you all these and I kept telling you but you were so sure that she would do nothing against us.

Riddhima: I know it’s my fault. But believe me I didn’t know any of this If I’d known…

Vansh: I don’t know. Just pray to God that nothing happens to Ishani or else…

Vansh walked out of the room and Riddhima stared at his disappearing figure. She didn’t know what had happened to Sejal. She’d staked all her life to avenge her, on the basis of just a business. She’d joined hands with the enemies of her family and Riddhima could never forgive her for that.

At night:

Ishani gained consciousness and the entire family slowly met her, asking her about how she felt. When she didn’t find Riddhima anywhere she looked at Angre and Vansh in question.

Ishani: Where’s Riddhima? Is she fine?

Riddhima (from the door with a bowl of soup): I’m here. This soup is for you and the baby, you’ve to quickly finish this up. C’mon!

Dadi: That’s like my Riddhima. I’m so proud to have you as my bahu.

Chanchal: Maa..

Vansh: It’s okay, Chachi. Both of us had something to tell you all.

Vansh – he tells the entire family how they’d enacted Riddhima’s memory loss drama. He also tells them about her conceiving twins but losing one due to the incident from that afternoon and also tells them about how they’d done all this for the safety of the baby and to find out the culprits and finally tells them how Kabir, Anupriya and Sejal had joined hands together to avenge them.

Dadi: I’m sorry for your loss Beta. As a mother who’s lost her children, I know how painful it can be. I’m so sorry you’d to bear that loss too.

Riddhima (consoling): It’s okay Dadi. I’m trying to get over that sorrow. After all this child and Ishani’s child is going to bring so much joy in this house. Please lets forget all the sorrows and everything that has happened in the past

The family enjoys moments together as they have dinner later in the night. They celebrate Riddhima’s return and the news of her pregnancy news. All of them spend time together and enjoy themselves.

Same night, At Vansh and Riddhima’s room:

Riddhima walked inside and saw the room decorated with scented candles, flowers and dim lights. She looked at the set-up in awe and looked for Vansh in the room. Moments later, he wrapped his arms around her from behind and shut his eyes.

Riddhima: What’s all this for?

Vansh: I’m sorry for how I behaved earlier. I just…

Riddhima (turning around): It’s okay, I understand you were worried then. But now that everything is over you should be happy. (placing her hand on her stomach) Dekho baby, Papa is so worried. Once you’re with us, the both of us will make him more worried.

Vansh laughed at her and made her sit down on the bed slowly.

Vansh: I’m going to do everything for you and the kid that I couldn’t do in the past few months. I promise I’ll keep the both of you very happy

Riddhima: I trust you.

They talked and spent more time together, happy that things had finally been sorted. They talked about various stuff from the previous moments and slowly fell asleep as midnight rolled in.

Seven Months Later:

The Raisinghanias stood outside the OT being nervous and excited together. Angre paced the length of the corridor and Dadi sat in one of the chairs in the waiting area. The nurse came out of the OT with a baby cradled in her arms and looked at Angre.

Nurse: Congratulations, Sir! You’re now a father a to a daughter

Angre held his daughter in his arms carefully and looked at her emotionally. He caressed her head softly and smiled at her, softly rocking her in his arms.

Angre: You’re going to be my princess! I won’t let anything ever harm you.

Riddhima and Vansh looked at the two of them from behind and smiled to themselves. Riddhima placed her hand on her stomach, softly smiling at how they were going to experience this moment very soon.

Riddhima: See Ishani’s had a girl she always wanted. I’m going to have a boy.

Vansh: We will have a girl, she’ll be my princess.

Riddhima: No, I – Ah! Ouch. (in pain) Vansh, I think my water broke.

Part 4: Riddhima deliver a baby. The family welcomes both the couples inside the Mansion. The two couples spend some time together with their newly borns. The name-giving ceremony is celebrated.
