Ridhimma pov….
After making tattoo we were heading towards the dauntless base . Al was carrying me on his back and I was laughing . In abnegation its impossible to carried around the place with a boy, it felt good ,the freedom felt good.
I look forward and see three figures near chasm drinking . One girl and two boys. A boy is standing there with support of railing. I drew nearer I see Vansh Angre and Sia there .
As soon as Vansh sees me he smiles but when he sees Al his expression changes. He began to walk toward me sloppily . I look at Aryan Ishani and Al who are accompanying me .
Me: Al now just let me down I can walk
Al: as you say little girl
I start to walkaway from here to avoid any awkward situation but … Vansh calls me out
Vansh: ridhimma ….
All other 3 turn and stare at him and why not among four of us he is only talking to me.
Vansh comes near me and says
Vansh: you look different
His words which used to be strict now are sluggish .
Me: same with you …what are you doing??
Vansh: flirting with death!!drinking near the chasm isn’t a good idea right
Me: no it isn’t
Words came out somewhat desperately . I am not sure that I like this version of Vansh there is something unsettling about it.
Vansh: I would have invited you to join us I don’t think you are supposed to see me this way.
Me: in what way drunk?? (raising my eyebrows)
Vansh: I guess real …. I will pretend I am not drunk
He smiles and I also smile …
Suddenly he comes closer to me and whispers me
Vansh: you look good ridhimma the tattoos suit you.
Me: do me a favor stay away from chasm
Vansh: sure(winks)
I can’t help it but to smile wider . He starts to return back to his friends but I don’t want to leave him…
Ishani: what he said ??
Ridhimma: nothing he was drunk and did not know what he was saying
Aryan :ya that’s why he said …
Before he could speak I hit me .he was close enough to hear what Vansh said to me.
Me: now lets go
Saying this we all head back to our dormitories.
Vansh pov
I was hanging out with angre and sia near the chasm when I saw ridhimma coming . She was wearing a simple off dress not the regular multilayered one.
I walked towards her and called her ,I know her friends will stare at me at I don’t damn care .
I tell her that she was looking different. At first older word came in my mind but she is not a kind of person who would bend at places they do also I did’nt wanted to call her younger as no child has the ferocity and spark like her so I chose to say different
I asked her to hang out with us . I never show my real self to anybody but since she came somewhere there was a small desire to be real in front of her.
I go close to her and whisper to her that she looks good a thing she must know . Winking at her I go back to my friends .
When I come back to my flat I am pretty much in my sense . Suddenly I notice some things displaced in my room . I look around and find a chit near the table . I open it and read it
“meet me where you met me last”
I instantly know who is this and angrily march out of room.
I come near train platform and see a lady in mixed clothes of candor and dauntless standing at a distance. I march towards her angrily .
Vansh: I told you not to call me or try to me then why did you came to my room??(shouting)
Lady: watch your tone Vansh don’t forget who I am to you….
I let out a sarcastic laugh and say
Vansh: so now you are making me remember our relation Evelyn . I think you need it to be reminded that you were the who forgot that first
Evelyn : I never forgot our relation Vansh but It was necessary to leave that house.
Vansh: yeah it was necessary to leave me alone with a sadistic person , it was necessary to give our so called motive more importance than me… wow!!!
Evelyn: it is not a so called motive Vansh , it is a mission to make our lives better by removing the barrier of faction and living with out it. I already invited you to join factionless 2 years ago when you got your job and that offer in still open.
Vansh: and why do think I would betray my faction and come to live with a person who was supposed to be dead for 10 years.
Evelyn: you know what erudite and dauntless are planning. You are more than a faction Vansh don’t let that blind you.
Vansh: I know what I am . Also I am not letting anyone control me or my life once again. I chose this life . I will stop both Jeanine and Max from letting them complete their mission in my own way I don’t need your help so you can leave now the train has come
I march out from there angrily and hear the train going away . I look back at the lean figure standing near train door but then turn away and depart towards dauntless campus.
On other side ridhimma was roaming around the dauntless floor as she was not feeling sleepy when she heard some sounds
Ridhimma pov
I was not feeling sleepy and wad wondering around when I heard some voices coming from nearby room. I peek inside and see Jeanine the erudite leader and Max the dauntless leader talking
Jeanine: we need to find the divergents soon and kill then so that they don’t hinder my mission.
Max: I will give you the full report soon as promised so don’t worry
I froze at my place hearing this Tori’s warning keeps flashing in my mind . I am in danger the other divergents are in danger.
