BECOMING MRS. RAISINGHANIA – EPISODE 5: THE MOTIVE

Vansh slowly looked up at her and a smirk pulled the corners of his lips. He’d smelt her the second he’d stepped inside the study. Her sandalwood scent mingled in the air, almost driving his senses. And he knew, no one would dare enter his study. But Riddhima Goenka was feisty, and despite how much he hated it, he loved it too.

He’d noticed her. Every time she shouted, her eyes were diluted and there was a hidden fire in her deep brown eyes, willing to destroy whoever came her way. Her nose reddened with anger and her lips were pulled into a tight line, wanting to control her anger. But he loved pushing her, wanting to make her shout.

Shravya: Who’s this?

Vansh was about to introduce the two of them to each other, but Riddhima stepped in, interrupting their conversation.

Riddhima: Doesn’t matter. I’m going to be leaving and you guys could continue.

Vansh crooked his eyebrow and looked at her, smiling within.

Vansh: Ms. Goenka, I think we need to talk. Since you’re in my study, I feel you’d be obliged to answer a few questions. (looking at Shravya) I’ll see you later, Shravya.

Riddhima pulled her bottom lip between her teeth, cursing her fate and wanting to escape the situation. How had she, out of every possible room, landed somewhere Vansh Raisinghania owned? However, as Shravya began leaving, she decided she could take a chance too. Once outside this room, there wasn’t a lot that Vansh Raisinghania could do.

She gave it a shot, but he was faster than her and he shut the door, locking the two of them inside. He pulled out the key from the door and looked at her, the ends of his lips turning crooked. She, absolutely, hated this. Why she’d agreed to ever come to this musical was a question she didn’t want to answer. It was a liability and Mr. Vansh Raisinghania was using the opportunity to his full advantage.

He cornered her against the wall and looked at her directly. He’d looked at her closely before, but there was something about her today that drew him closer to her. He didn’t know why or what. Perhaps, it was the atmosphere. Or the wine. But in his subconscious mind he knew what it was. She looked majestic that evening – shining in a crowd of fake people. There was something so natural and attractive about her that he hadn’t been able to look away.

He’d tried. He’d tried by flirting with several other women in the past hour, but it hadn’t helped. In fact, he’d tried romancing Shravya to see if he could avoid thinking of her, but it had almost begun seeming like her image was imprinted in his mind. Which was, perhaps, for the good. Because she was going to be his wife, but he wasn’t supposed to have a soft corner for her.

However, tonight wasn’t the evening for thinking about that. He could let himself be present in the moment, noticing every way her beauty was so flawless and natural. She didn’t need any cosmetic to hide herself and as he continued looking at her, he couldn’t stop appreciating the confidence behind that face.

Riddhima looked on as he continued staring at her, moving closer with each passing second. His woodsy cologne enveloped her and she stared at him, observing the way the stubble outlined his face and his forehead creased as he stared back at her. She wanted to escape and she could if she wanted, despite the way his palms were pressed against the wall to cage her, but that moment held something special.

An emotion so raw and promising that she couldn’t move, and then he kissed her. She couldn’t think anymore. He was kissing her slowly, maintaining a minimal distance in between. His lips first brushed against hers before he kissed her so slowly and patiently, that she couldn’t stop that feeling from before from returning.

He’d made him feel like a woman in so many ways that evening and she couldn’t stop wondering why. She’d thought, there weren’t supposed to be any emotions involved – no strings attached. Yet, he was there, kissing her so softly and patiently that the muscles in her stomach clenched and her nerves were alit. No one had ever made her feel this way.

However, he stepped away moments later and looked at her, confusion etching across his face. She wanted to fight with him, asking him how dare he kiss her, but he strode away from there in the spur of a second. She could almost swear it was a dream, but it wasn’t.

Because her lips were plump, his cologne was invading her senses and she was flushed. What was she getting herself into?

————

He tilted his head and stared at her picture. He didn’t want to believe she was getting married. It wasn’t supposed to be this way, right? He was going to rob the Raisinghanias and once done, he was going to marry her.

He’d seen her first at that orientation for interns and instantly fallen for her. It wasn’t planned. She was never a part of his plan, but after they’d begun working together, he’d decided she was the destination he was looking for and he’d achieve her by hook or crook.

He shifted his gaze and looked at the other photograph on the table. He shook his head and smirked, his attitude turning cold. “Your twin shouldn’t have messed with me, Ishani. He thinks, closing all my options would save his family from me? No, Sweetheart! You are my way to the Raisinghania treasure, but your twin would be my way to Riddhima.”

Angre ran a finger on Ishani’s photograph, before crushing and throwing it away on the floor. “Sorry Sweetheart, but I will ruin your lives. This relationship that means the world to you means nothing to me, but shush, let’s keep that a secret for now.”

Angre smirked and removed the ring from his finger, throwing it behind his back. The Raisinghania twins were absolute fools.

That’d be it for this episode. I know it was a shorter one, but I was a little demotivated to write this time. Anyhow, please let me know what you think of this episode and also, if any changes are needed, do suggest. Thank you for reading!
