Starting with a new fan fiction today! First up with the characters –

1) Professor Malini Chaturvedi: A professor in IIT Delhi, Anu and Dev’s daughter

2) Kalyani Chaturvedi: A JEE aspirant, dropper/repeater, Malini’s sister

3) Imlie: A smart 19 year old girl, Malini’s step sister, Meethi and Dev’s daughter

4) Aditya Kumar Tripathi: A renowned repoter in Aaj Tak, Malini’s childhood friend turned fiànce

5) Kunal Chauhan: A criminal lawyer, Malini, Adi and Malhar’s school friend

6) Malhar Rane: An IPS officer, Malini, Adi and Kunal’s friend, Sampada’s husband

7) Anuja Chaturvedi: A fashion designer, Malini and Kalyani’s mother, Dev’s ex wife

8) Dev Sharma: Malini, Kalyani and Imlie’s father,  Anu’s ex husband, Meethi’s ex husband

9) Meethi: Imlie’s mother, Dev’s ex wife

10) Aparna Tripathi: Aditya’s mother

11) Pankaj Tripathi: Aditya’s father

12) Neerav Tripathi: Aditya’s brother

13) Sampada: Malhar’s wife

14) Asmita Chauhan: Kunal’s aunt and foster mother

Basic plot of the story:

Malini and Kalyani are sisters living with their mother Anuja in Hauz Khas in Delhi. Malini, Aditya, Kunal and Malhar are best of the friends, supporting one other through every trial and tribulation ever since their school life. Malini and Aditya eventually fall in love and are engaged. Kalyani is a  JEE aspirant and is completely submerged in her preparations, but she considers herself incapable at times due to her past two failures. The quadruo( Malini, Adi, Kunal and Malhar) encourage her always to give her best and not care about the consequences.

Imlie is lives in a slum in Noida with her mother, Meethi who works hard to enable her daughter to get good education. Though she isn’t able to educate her after 12th standard due to financial problems.

Dev Sharma is a renowned artist living in Gurugram, Delhi. He was divorced by both his wives. He has spent 7 years in jail for cheating on two women.

How the lives of these people completely change by a few incidents which confuses and tangles them will further form the story.

    Story seems to be interesting. And characters are really crisp and intriguing !
    I am waiting for this ff…

    And loved the names of new characters especially the new lady KC 😜

      @Shriharshita thanks a lot🙏🙏🙏 actually the lady KC was Kalyani Deshmukh in another serial, I liked her character😅😅😅 so I thought to introduce her here.
      Do suggest some improvements if you wish😊

      Your vocabulary is indeed very crisp and convincing.
      I don’t think anything needs to be reformed for now. The story looks new and fresh.
      Actually, I thought that there should have been some sister to Malini who was hers own so that she can play a key role in Malini’s life too. And your story seems to be fulfilling my fantasy ! So yeah ! I am like ‘ready get set go’ to read.

    Great Intro!
    Excited to see how the OCs will fit into the story. You changed some of the locations too, like Gurugram and Noida, well that’s interesting.
    Looking forward to reading it 😊
    Btw, why don’t you guys try publishing your fics on fanfiction.net too (along with here)? I’ve barely seen any Indian shows there. And I think the fics could reach a wider range of audience there.

    One doubt !
    If Dev Sharma is the father of Malini, Kalyani and Imlie, how come Malini and Kalyani’s surname is Chaturvedi ? So are we to consider that Anu’s maternal surname is Chaturvedi ? Or Dev Sharma is infact Dev Chaturvedi ? Or Anu has married a person after divorce whose surname is Chaturvedi ?
    I am sorry for these many questions but curiosity had driven me to ask you 😜😂 !

      @Shriharshita Dev is Dev Sharma. Anu’s maternal surname is Chaturvedi and as she has raised both her children alone so both are Chaturvedis😁

    I think it’s good that you kept the Surname Chaturvedi. What would an “Imlie” fanfiction be without Mrs. Chaturvedi 🤷‍♀️😂? Is Malini then called Chaturvedi-Sharma or did she never get her father’s surname? I just had to laugh that Dev is even worse off here than on the show😅. But as I see, it had the same effect on others as well 😃.
    So none of the girls here got the paternity?
    Anyway, good luck with this ambitious “project”😊👍
