No parent should ever witness the pain of seeing a daughter being raped and getting addicted to pills. It is the worse nightmare for me because I can not save her, I can’t run to her I am stuck in wheelchair thanks to those two evil people, Suraj and Badi Maa.
He was married to one of my good friend Divya (Maya/Mala mother). One day Divya called me and ask me if Nandini was Angad child, I said yes and then she ask me did Suraj convince you to sleep with Angad, I said Suraj told me if I get pregnant, Angad would leave his wife for the baby. Then she told me something that I didn’t know, she told me he was using me to take revenge on Maira, I ask her why, she told me that Maira was the girl who testify against Surajs’ brother he was hanged to death, she said his brother raped a girl.
I was shocked, it made me think, I was no better, I could have said no to Suraj for sleeping with Angad but no I was deeply in love with Angad but he only loved his wife. He only slept with me because he wanted to give his wife a baby but miraculously Maira got pregnant and he ask me to abort the baby. Well I decided I didn’t want to come between there marriage but Suraj was not happy about it.
My friend Divya decided she was going to leave Suraj and take her daughter with her. That was the last call she made.
I went to Suraj house to inquire about Divya, they told me that she killed herself, I ask her why would she do that unless you did something. Badi maa said what proof do you have that we did something. I said Divya’s daughter Maya will tell me the truth. I went to the little girl ask her what happen to her mother, the little girl was crying she said her mother killed herself, I ask her did they do something, she said no. But I could see she was scared so I didn’t pressure her.
Next day I went to Suraj house to meet Maya, I gave her a puppy, she named her puppy Meetu and gave me a hug and she told me secretly, please don’t come here, my father hurt my mommy, he will hurt you to.
I took Maya warning and left to Pune. But I wish I took her with me, I just felt that she was not safe there but then I thought why would Suraj hurt his child. Much later I would find out that he was abusing his daughter.
11 year ago mother had Alzheimer disease she told Nandini that she was not her granddaughter so Nandini and I did the DNA test done and it proves that I am her mother. I had to tell her the truth how she was conceived but didn’t tell her that her father wanted me to abort her. She wanted to meet her sister at Mumbai and go to college over at Mumbai where her sister goes. I told her she can go but do not reveal your identity.
When she was in Mumbai she would call me every once week but suddenly the phone call stop. I got worried and went to Mumbai. I went to her apartment where she lived but it was empty. I panic, I had a gut feeling that my daughter was in trouble. I went to Piyali place but she was not home but her father was, we were both schocked to see each other, he ask me what I was doing here. I told him I was looking for my daughter Nandini, he said is Nandini my daughter, I said no she is only my daughter don’t worry I not asking you to be the father to my child all I want to know where she is. He said he doesn’t know he also said his daughter was expecting her at the baby shower but she didn’t show up.
After leaving Piyali house, I decided I need to go to the police station, when I was getting near someone cover my mouth with a chlorine, I got uncontious
When I woke up, I was in a dark room. There was no window only walls. I was searching in the dark to get out of here, I felt the door but it was locked. I knocked on the door, telling them to let me go then suddenly the TV went on there was a man with a mask he said welcome Niki, I hope my hospitality has serve you well. I ask him, what do you want from me. He said it depends on you if you want to be free leave your daughter to me. I said I would never leave my daughter, where is she, I ask. He said she was with him and he said he needed her for his revenge. I ask him what kind of revenge. He said he wanted to have revenge on Maira Dixit and her family, he wanted to destroy them.
It dawn on me the mask man is Suraj, I told him you don’t need to hide your face Suraj. Suraj with his evil laught said well, well you guessed me right. I am coming over to see you.
Suraj came to the dark room but he was not alone he came with his Badi maa. Welcome,Niki, Badi maa said. You will be staying here until Nandini fulfills our revenge. I said what revenge, what your son did was wrong, you being a woman should understand. Badi Maa was angry, she told Suraj you know what to do. Suraj leaves and then Badi maa starts talking. You know, I wanted to kidnap Maira’s daughter but your daughter got kidnap, I wanted Maira’s daughter to get raped but your daughter got raped that broke me. I said what kind of woman are you, I grab her neck, I wanted to kill her but men came and tied me on the chair. Badi Maa said this wouldn’t have happen if your mother didn’t switch the baby.
I was shocked, it made sense now why mother was going that she switch the baby, because they switch the baby too. I said what else did you do to my daughter. She told me everything about the pills and the list they made for revenge. Badi Maa said I have a surprise, you will see your daughter on tv. I saw Nandini lying down uncontious, and seeing Suraj coming toward her, I told Badi maa please stop him how can you let him do this you have a granddaughter what if someone does this to her. Then she told me the shocking truth how Suraj s*xually abuse his child. I told her one day you and your son will pay for your sins. She says just worry about getting out of here because your staying here for a long time.
She was right it was a torcher living in the dark room, I could not see how I could escape but some how I had to not only for Nandini but for Maya as well. One day Badi maa told me that Nandini and Maya were pregnant. Badi Maa wanted a boy. I told her if there is god I hope Suraj stays childless. She gers a stick and starts hitting me. When she was done she threw the stick away and left.
I was glad that badi maa threw that stick with tat stick I could dig a tunnel and that was what I did. When the tunnel was big enough I made my escape. I was outside running as far as I can but Suraj and Badi maa caught me I was not going to give up I came to the end either I make a jump or be a prisoner of Suraj and Badi Maa. I made the jump and that when I lost the feeling of my legs.
Luckily Juan Chang found me and took me to the hospital. When I woke up I told the doctor I could not feel my legs, I was crying, and told Juan that my daughter life was in danger. She ask me what my daughters name was, I told her my daughter name is Nandini. Juan Chang was shocked, she ask did Suraj kept her hostage, I said yes how do you know Suraj. She said her brother knew him and she said that her brother was the father of Nandini’s child and that she had Nandini’s child.
Juan told me to come with her to raise the child. I said what about Nandini and Maya. Juan told me that Maya escape from her fathers clutches. She said we will save Nandini when Teji grows up. Right now is not the right time.
I was leaving Mumbai without my daughter. But one day I will bring her home. My grandson will bring her home. And then I will take my revenge on Badi maa and Suraj…
