Reason for Raavan’s Defeat Told by Raavan himself

Hey everyone I am again backing with some interesting incident from Ramayana. Well this one is neither about Sita nor her sisters but about our male leads Ram and Laxman. I think it can be interesting to know about the greatness of the brotherhood of Raghukul’s brothers.

Well this scene starts from the end of Ram Raavan yudh. Raavan is on his deathbed and on the other side the monkey army is celebrating their win. Ram stops everyone and ask them not to celebrate. He addresses them.
Ram: I know that all of you are really happy after winning this yudh. I will be always indebted with your help. But I request you all to first condolence the death of our monkeys brothers who gave their valuable life to this dharma yudh. I also request you to cremate the rakshashs who gave their life in this battle.
Sugriva: But why prabhu? They were enemies.
Ram: I know that sugriva but they died in the battlefield and everyone who died during a battle is called a martyr and should be cremated in that way only.
Everyone leave to complete the order of ram. Ram asked laxman to come with him.
Ram: Laxman! I want you to go to Dashanaan and Take some rajya teaching from him.
Laxman: But bhaiya?
Ram: Laxman! Raavan was a great warrior, extraordinary learner and the knower of all Vedas and puranas. He lost everything on this battlefield and the most important thing that he lost is his dignity which makes him a Rakshash. Now on his deathbed he is a Brahman and it is our dharma as kshatriye to get knowledge from Brahman.
Laxman: As you wish Bhaiya.

Laxman goes to Raavan and bend down to touch his feet.
Raavan: What are you doing sumitranadan? I am your enemy.
Laxman: Yes you are right Lankesh but you were my enemy and now I came here as your student. I want you to give me some nitigyan as a teacher.
Raavan: How can I teach you? But you came as a student and I will not disappoint you.
Raavan tells everything he knows to Laxman and laxman learns everything. Just then Ram came to them and greets Raavan.
Raavan: I am blessed Ram that you killed me by your hand and now by giving your darshan you allow me to sleep soundly. You know ram and laxman I was a great king and a great warrior even then I lose to you two?
I am more powerful than you ram. I have more techniques than you. I am more intelligent than you. You know the Vedas and I know all that is in it by heart. The palace in you Ayodhya is made of gold and look my whole Lanka is made of gold. My vansh is greater than you. My gotr is greater than you. You is a Kshatriye and I am Brahman greater than you. I am older than you in age. I am greater than you in each and every field whether it is money, dharma, family or vansh but do you know why I lose? Do you know Ram?
Ram: (looks puzzled) I am sorry lankesh I don’t know?
Raavan: (smiles) because your brother was with you and mine was not. Your brother was at your side and look because of my Karma’s my brother was against me. You are very lucky Ram to get such great family.
Ram: you are right Lankesh Ram is because of his great family.
Ram hugs laxman. Vibhishan does the cremation of Raavan.
