Chapter 41- It’s Celebration Time!

The next day was a busy one for the palace , that evening , Shezaadey I qbal and Shezaadi Zehna’s Mehandi ceremony was to be held at the Deewan-e-Khaas . Razia woke up much later than usual. Realising that she was late enough to get an earful from her ammi , she jumped out of her bed and rushed into the bathroom to freshenup. After freshening up and getting dressed with the help of her maids, she put on her jewelery and applied some kajal (Surma) in her eyes and cherry colour , made up of fresh flowers on her lips , to redden it further. After she was assured that she was looking good enough to be present before the guests who were to arrive at the morning only , she put on her veil and rushed to the palace’s main entrance , thankfully , she was not too late as the guests had not arrived yet “Where have you been? Everyone was waiting for you , be thankful , Naanijaan has not arrived yet , otherwise.” Fatimah whispered to Razia as soon as she arrived there “I know , but …I don’t know how I couldn’t manage to wake up early.” Razia replied , the guests arrived just then , after welcoming them and leading them to their respective rooms ,Razia decided to ask Yakut about Ruhana’s matter.

Reaching Yakut’s chamber , she knocked the doors , Yakut opened it and was surprised to find her “Razia? What are you doing here ,you were supposed to be at the Deewan-r-Khaas no? “ he asked her , surprised “I know but I have many other important matters to solve.” he replied , getting in hurriedly and closing the doors at once “Do you know how far the investigations have gone in case of Ruhana’s murder?” she asked him before he could even react “They got away with the murder Razia , it’s better if you take the body to the graveyard before anyone comes to know that you and Altunia have hid it in my room.” he replied with a sigh , Razia sighed in disbelief and sorrow , she was highly disappointed since she could not give justice to Ruhana “Razia , go back to Deewan-e-Khaas before anybody notices your absence , especially Shah Turkan. “ Yakut warned her , Razia nodded and went out of the chamber , towards Dewaan-e-Khaas.

The afternoon rolled on in giving the best hospitality to the guests and soon , the sun was about to set and it was time for Zehna’s Mehendi ,the grand Deewan-e-Khas glittered wit golden and royal blue curtains with mirrors all over it , the to-be bride and groom arrived and the celebration started with a shot. Razia came in wearing a blue and red attire , while Fatimah looked breathtaking in red and royal blue dress , Nasir and Altunia smiled seeing the love of their life .
The celebration was on , Razia and Fatimah decided to put on Mehendi on their hands ,”Shezadi Fatimah , on which hand do you want Shezaadey Nasir’s name written?” asked the Mehendi artist Fatimah blushed and showed her right hand “On this hand.” Razia smiled seeing this , the artist putting Mehendi on Razia’s hand asked “Do you want any special design shezaadi?” “No, but….on this hand , I want a name written.” she replied showing up her right hand “Who’s name Shezaadi?” asked the confused artist , since she knew Razia wasn’t even engaged to anybody yet “Malik Altunia!” Razia exclaimed , remembering Altunia’s vow that he took the same night when she openly asked him as her Edi.
