These days Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 5 is making many headlines but even after being from such a big production house and having such a stellar star cast, the show is not doing that great in terms of TRPs. But they do have a loyal fan base and we simply cannot deny that fact. The show is filled with constant surprises, shocks, twists and turns and all of this keep the fan base hooked on to the show.
Actor Ravee Gupta, who has been playing the role of Maarkat in the show for a while is now all set to make an exit from the show.
Gupta was playing the mother to Ssharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal’s character who had her own transformation. Having played a negative role in the show, she is actually disappointed that her tracking is ending so soon. Talking about it to Times of India, she said, “I am sad and it is a tad disappointing that my track in the show is over. But in television anything can happen. It is an unpredictable business. I was hoping that my track would last another two to three months, but unfortunately, that did not happen. While there is no clarity if Maarkat will return on the show, as of now my track is over.”
Gupta actually made a comeback to TV after almost eight years with Naagin 5 and talking about it, she said, “It was a great opportunity to work in such a popular franchise. I am happy that the makers gave me a chance to play such a strong, negative role for my comeback. I am hoping that this will open up more opportunities and I will get to do such challenging roles in the future as well.”
