Isha is accused of using her beauty to manipulate the PA and take advantage of him, with others claiming that women like her later play the victim card when seeking help. Shocked by these accusations, Isha insists she never expected to be misunderstood in such a way. The PA’s wife dismisses her explanations, bluntly asks how much money Isha wants to leave her husband, and gets up from the table. As she does, a waiter spills water on her hand, revealing a torture mark. Isha realizes the grim reality behind the woman’s harshness and comments that women like her don’t stand up for others because they lack the courage to stand up for themselves.
The PA’s wife retorts that simply passing government exams isn’t enough—people must make sacrifices and compromises to secure such jobs. Isha questions her harshness, but the woman insists she’s only showing the truth. After leaving, Isha feels lost and worried, both from Gayatri’s brainwashing and the PA’s wife’s words. She calls Om, but he shares no good news and says he’ll return the next day, leaving Isha even more anxious.
Determined, Isha decides to make a sacrifice for Om’s job and goes to the PA’s office. When she enters, the PA welcomes her with a leering smile, saying the “bird has come to the cage by herself.” He demands she close the door and apologize on Om’s behalf. Isha, scared and uncomfortable, asks if Om will get the job. The PA assures her Om’s future is secure and urges her to turn off the lights immediately. Frightened and thinking of Om, Isha complies.
The next morning, Isha returns home and struggles with her conscience in front of the mirror. Om arrives with good news, his name on the list, and joyfully feeds sweets to his parents and Isha, crediting her faith in him for his success. Gayatri, shocked, realizes what may have happened and confronts Isha, asking if she went to the PA’s place the previous night. Om demands the truth from Isha, leaving the family in turmoil.
