Ritesh Singh is out of the Bigg Boss house now but he is still making headlines with the allegations that his first wife Snigdha Priya has made on him. In a recent interview with ETimes TV that she shared that she is going to file a case against Ritesh for outraging a woman’s modesty.
Ritesh addressed the claims in an interview with BT and shared that she is doing all this to trap him. He said, “This is not new to me. She has been torturing me since 2017. She has said that I was brutal and would beat her for hours. I want to ask why didn’t she filed for divorce since 2014. Why would she stay with a man like that? All these things are fake. The truth is that she had eloped with her nephew. I was silent till now for the sake of my son. She had spoilt my life already. I was in a deadly situation when I met Rakhi. Rakhi supported me. Now that I’m moving forward in life, she has come back to trap me again.”
He added, “She had filed a case of domestic violence against me in 2017 whereas she used to stay with me hardly for a few months. If I had beaten her she should have gone to seek help from family, friends or police. Somebody must have known if I had beaten her. Chennai, where I have stayed, people there are educated and aware. I am not revealing anything now because she will be alert. I will give a formal interview where I will show all things with proof. I want to ask why her nephew, with whom she had eloped, would come only when I was not at home. People around me had asked this question.
I don’t want to do character assassination of a woman but she has been troubling me since 2017 and now I have to tell the truth. Because this has now gone on national television. Snigdha’s brother would attack me when I’d go for the appearance in court. I had filed an FIR for the same. When she had eloped, she took all the cash and jewelry.”
When asked about Snigdha’s claim that her family gave Ritesh Rs 25 lakh in dowry, Ritesh said, “I will tell the media everything with proof in my interview. How they trapped my whole family, and how much money they extorted from me. She wouldn’t even ask me whether I’d eat something. She’d pester me to buy a house and land in Delhi. I paid for the land but she got the ownership by deceit. I have all the proof.”
Talking about the allegations that he lied about his NRI status, Ritesh said, “I have arrived from Belgium. Snigdha is claiming that I was poor in 2014. But you can go to my Facebook profile and see the pictures of my international travels in 2013 and 2014. I used to travel to many places including the US. She’s claiming that she used to get 2 lakhs in 2014. Do you think this is a lower standard”
Talking about his future plans, Ritesh said, “I want to continue in the entertainment industry. I haven’t thought about whether I will work as an artist or producer. But I want to be in the entertainment business only. I have some political ambitions as well. I want to do something for my society. Politics is definitely my long term plan, definitely.”
Ritesh concluded with words of praise for Rakhi, he said, “Rakhi is like a goddess to me. She supported me at a time when no other girl would have supported me. She understood that I was really hurt somewhere. She brought me out of this rut. Whatever moments of happiness I have seen are because of Rakhi and I want to be with her till my last breath. Iss dil mein sirf Rakhi hai”
