Rajya Sabha MP Vaiko demands a ban on the web series The Family Man 2

The Family Man series has been the talk of the town since the first season came out. Now the makers are ready with the second season and the trailer is also out and has already received more than 40 million views. Starring Manoj Bajapyee as Srikant while Samantha Akkineni as Raji the show also features many other fine actors like Sharad Kelkar. Amid all this, the series has landed into trouble as Rajya Sabha MP Vaiko has sent a written complaint to Union I&B Minister, Prakash Javadekar and has even demanded a ban on the second season of the web series.

In his letter, the MP Vaiko highlights that the trailer showcases Tamilians as terrorists and suggests links of Tamils with ISI agents in Pakistan. The letter further alleges that the show wrongly portrays the sacrifices made by the Tamil Eelam. Based on these allegations the minister has demanded a ban on the release of the show.

Minister Vaiko has also warned in the letter that the people of Tamil Nadu ‘will react very seriously’ and that the government may have to face serious consequences if the show is not banned.

Meanwhile, the show which also stars Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Sharib Hashmi, and others, is all set to release on June 4, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.
