Rahul : Papa… Lavanya : Mama… (RagLak) Episode 5
The episode starts with Ragini awaking. She sees Lavanya and Rahul sleeping hugging Laksh. She smiles at them and goes to the washroom. She comes out and finds them still sleeping. She goes to the kitchen and keeps the kettle on the stove. Ragini makes coffee and goes to awake Laksh, Rahul and Lavanya.
Ragini : Awake three of you. Rahul and Lavanya awake.
She starts shaking them.
Lavanya : Ma it is saturday today, let me sleep.
Rahul : Haa mama let us sleep.
Laksh get up and stretches his arm. Rahul too gets up and does the same thing. Both of them yawn at the same time. Ragini is staring at them with her hands on the waist.
Laksh : Good morning Laado.
Rahul : Papa your hand, now is it fine?
Rahul asks it in a hurry, Laksh smiles.
Laksh : Haa champ its fine.
Ragini carries Rahul and runs to his room washroom.
Ragini : If I leave you will be sitting there forever. Now go brush your teeth and have a wash.
Ragini returns to the room and awakes Lavanya.
Lavanya : Mama please five more minutes.
Ragini : Not even a minute. We have to go to MM too, the more you get late the less you will get to enjoy.
Lavanya jumps up with exitment and runs to her room. Laksh comes out of the washroom having a bath wearing a t shirt and a bottom. Ragini was about to leave he holds her and hugs her from behind and clooses the door by his leg.
Ragini : Laksh…
Laksh : You were crying the whole night right?
Laksh makes her turn and makes her look in to his eyes.
Laksh : Jaan it is just a small wound and it will heal look I’m totaly fine.
Ragini : Fine? For you it might be a small wound but look at it and then speak.
Laksh : Okay it is a big wound so if you cry will it healed?
Ragini : Look who is speaking, for burning my one finger that too a small part someone took me to the hospital your whole palm is burnt and now you can’t do any workd properly. It might be burning.
She gets teary.
Laksh : If you keep your face like this Lavanya and Rahul also will be upset. Do you want them to be upset? (Ragini shakes her head) Then smile.
Ragini smiles and Laksh hugs her.
Ragini : Drink the coffee, now it would have been cold too.
Laksh : Okay you also come with me and drink. Last night you didn’t eat properly as you had to feed the three of us.
Lakah drags her and makes her sit and gives a cup of coffee. Lavanya and Rahul comes getting ready.
Rahul : Di are we going somewhere that you are dressed like this?
Lavanya : Haa chotu we are going to MM. Mama are we gonna stay there?
Ragini looks at Laksh and then looks at the excited faces of Rahul and Lavanya.
Ragini : Haa we are going to stay. (Laksh’s face changes while Lavanya and Rahul jump up in happiness) Now go and pack your needs. Lavanya help Rahul also. I’ll come and recheck it.
Lavanya and Rahul nod and leave.
Laksh : What is the need to go stay there?
Ragini : Come on Laksh, you might not need your ma or papa but they need their daadu and daadi.
Laksh : Visiting is fine what is the need to stay? I have my own house. Even the owner of this apartment is you I have bought this house in my earning. I have brought up my own company.
Ragini : I know Laksh but nothing could have been done if your parents weren’t there. They educated you. How silly you are? Your papa told it in anger and you have taken it seriously, he loves you Laksh.
Laksh : Ragini whatever you say Im not ready to accept. I’m not staying there and it is final and my kids won’t stay there too.
Ragini : But Laksh…
Before she could complete he takes his clothes and goes out of the room to the visitors room. Ragini sighs and takes her dress. She comes out wearing a green anarkali. She sees Laksh sitting and doing a work in the laptop. She goes and sits next to him.
Laksh : Ragini if you are here to convince me then I’m not ready to listen to your talks.
Lavanya comes out with a big bag and Rahul comes out with a bigger bag. Laksh looks at them and then looks at Ragini.
Laksh : You itself explain them.
Lavanya : What to explain?
Ragini . Ask your papa itself I don’t know what is he meaning.
Laksh gives a stern look at Ragini.
Rahul : Both of you are wasting time. Hurry up na?
Laksh : Nothing princess, come let’s go.
All four of them come and get in to the car. Rahul sits in front and Lavanya and Ragini sits behind. Ragini : Laksh…
Laksh : Tell (He is angry)
Ragini : Nothing.
Flashback 13 years ago (No is thinking or narrating)
Ragini was waiting for her car after college. (She is actually rischer that Laksh)Laksh comes and taps her shoulder.
Ragini : Now what do you want?
Laksh : Don’t you know to speak politely?
Ragini : Why??? are you gonna teach me?
Laksh : Listen Ragini I’m here not to pick a fight with you we can fight anytime we want but to discuss about the project we don’t even have time. Tomorrow night we are flying and day after tomorrow we have to submit our written presentation. If you are going to fight with me the whole time then go on.
Ragini looks at him with a innocent face in a way of asking ‘what am I suppose to do?’
Laksh : I know I’m dashing so you don’t have to stare at me like this.
Ragini rolls up her eyes.
Ragini : Stop joking Laksh have you ever seen a gorilla? if you have not seen then go infront of the mirror
Laksh : Very funny I’ll laugh later now tell me where are we gonna discuss?
Ragini : No where.
Laksh : I don’t want to lose.
Ragini : Try to understand me Laksh even I’m able to speak with you for your good time my car is not there in the parking lot. Like you think I can’t come anywhere.
Laksh : Then I’ll come to the place where you want. Leave your grudge a side with me and think about the project.
Ragini : Even if I think there is no change gonna happen. (She sees her car coming) Laksh just go away from here.
Laksh : Ragini…
Ragini : I said go
Laksh : At least give me your number so we can plan what to do through phone.
Ragini : I don’t have a phone.
Laksh looks at her shockingly. The car comes and stops and the same man who opened the car for her with the same attire comes out. Ragini moves and Laksh holds her wrist. Ragini in shock closes her eyes. The man with the blazer come and gives a tight slap on Laksh’s cheek. Laksh looks at him with shock. Ragini removes her hand from Laksh’s grip and moves away.
Ragini : I’m fine Prakash I wanna go home fast.
The guy gives another slap on Laksh’s face and Laksh’s lip starts bleeding. Ragini starts crying. Prakash opens the door and Ragini gets in.
Ragini reaches home she doesn’t speak anything queitly goes to her room and starts crying. Then she hears a knock on the door. She quickly wipes her tears and goes to the dressing table and composes her face with make up to show that she hasn’t cried. She then goes to the door and opends it. She finds her dad standing.
Ragini : Papa
Shekhar : I heard that a boy held your wrist.
Ragini looks on.
Shekhar shouts : Who is he?
Ragini gets scared.
Ragini : My class mate.
Shekhar : Why does he have to hold your wrist?
Ragini is silent.
Shekhar : Not a boy is allowed to talk to you unless it is something official. Understood? Other than Swara you have no right to bring anyone home. Got it?
Ragini : Haa papa.
Shekhar : There will be two body guard coming with you to Austaralia.
He leaves the room Ragini locks it and cries without making any noice remembering Laksh’s teary face.
Scene at MM Laksh enters lost in his thoughts. Ap notices that his lips are bleeding.
Ap : Laksh what happened? Your lips are bleeding.
Laksh doesn’t reply but just walks to his room. He could only remember the tearing eyes of Ragini. He just rests on his couch with the thought of Ragini.
Laksh’s POV
I saw that she was in a deep pain. A pain which she can’t tell anyone. I could feel that pain. I have to find out the reason behind her pain. Her words always had a deep meaning which I always missed to understand. She always kept ignoring me and other boys (He remembers the incident which hapoened in the canteen Ragini moving without arguing further) She said that I can never make her my friend (He remembers Ragini telling him that he can never become her friends) I saw concern in her eyes when she asked me to leave (He remembers Ragini asking him to leave) Why so much of body gaurds? Why am I thinking about her? Why am I disturbed.
Laksh’s POV ends
His thoughts get disturbed by a sound. He quickly get up and moves towards the window.
Flashback ends
Ragini, Laksh, Lavanya and Rahul enter MM. Ap was sitting on the couch.
Ragini : Maa…
Ap looks at them and gets happy. Ragini goes and takes blessings from her and hugs her. Laksh too comes and takes blessing.
LaRa : Daadi…
Both of them hug Ap and then takes blessing. Swara hearing the sound comes out of the kitchen. Sanskaar, Sandesh, Sandya and Sawitha too come down. Dp comes out of the room.
Swara : Ragini…
Sawitha : Look mama you told right chaachi never comes look now she has come.
Ragini goes and takes blessing from Dp. Lavanya and Rahul too takes blessings and hugs Dp.
Dp : How are you beta?
Ragini : I’m doing good papa, how are you?
Dp : I’m fine, Laksh…
Laksh : I’ll go get the bags.
Everyone except the kids get upset.
Sandya : Bags? Are you people staying? ( With excitment)
Lavanya : Haa di we are staying.
Sandesh : Wow I can have fun with Chaachu.
Sandya : Chaachi you have to help me with my assignments.
Ragini smiles and nods.
Sawitha : Luv come let’s go and play.
Rahul : Even I’m coming.
Lavanya : We are going to play girls games.
Rahul makes a eww face.
Rahul : Then mama what am I going to do?
Sandesh : He champ come both of us can play video games.
Rahul : Yaaaay.
Sanskaar : Sandesh you and his age. He is half of your age.
Sandesh : Papa there is no age to play video games if you want you can join too.
Sandesh and Rahul run upstairs screaming. Behind them Lavanya and Sawitha runs to their room. Laksh enters with all the bags. Sanskaar helps him to carry them.
Swara : I’ll keep the breakfast in the table.
Ragini : I’ll help you.
Ragini goes near Laksh.
Ragini : So are we satying?
Laksh : For you and our kids.
Screen freezes on Ragini’s smiling face.
