Manan and Kaira walk down the stairs , the burning looks of Shiela scorching in to theiir backs..

Rubal is exasperated at the continued failure of exposing Pankhudi to Adi.. Rubal is adamant and wants to expose at any cost.. Rubal resolves to hold Adi at the venue until his deeds are done .. Rubal summons ADi and orders him to act as the waiter, secure in the knowledge that a financially straitened Adi will do whatever needs to be done.. The family rallies around Adi and tries to din sense into Rubal which goes unheeded.. Just then Adi pips up saying that he will do the waiter job ..Nanu pulls him aside and courteously demands to know whether Adi has gone off his rocker and Adi retorts that Nanu did not take a stand when it mattered and there is no point in Nanu stepping in NOW.

Rubal

summons a servant and commands him to hand over the tray to Adi, the servant hesitates but Rubal orders him on and Adi takes the tray and is about to serve when Pankhudi’s bell like voice rings out forbidding him to do so..

Adi is stunned to See pankhudi, Pankhudi walks up to Adi and trys to take the tray but is stopped by Adi who demands to know the reason for presence .. Pankhudi tries to stall for a while but it is time to unveil and become truly Mahan !!

Adi is shocked beyond his lean frame and there is a explosion which sort of fizzles down in intensity.. Adi trying to instill some sort of common sense, logic, reality into Pankhudi but Pankhudi stubbornly putting on her blinkers of “Main Martyr hoon, mAin born hoon toh glycerinwaali tears shed karne ke liye * .. Adi begins to rip and rip, rip ..and in between put in the fact that Avantika will be hurt when she hears the truth, the air is taken out of his sails when Pankhudi breathes out the fact that Mommy knows the truth too…

Adi is more hurt than angry..feels betrayed by one and all , stalks out followed by Pankhudi who does the Meena Kumari trailing behind him, crying out..Adi, Adi, Adi

CONFERENCE ROOM

Rubal and co are congratulating themselves on job well done when Preeti storms in like a tornnado and erupts like volcano , singeing the troika with her words … Rubal tries to put preeti in her place but is put in his place instead by Preeti..

Preeti departs after hurling several caustic words , Rubal expresses his ire and is soothed by Shiela whiel Latika thinks with Pankhudi out, the time has come to make the moves to occupy the house and make it her own..

Pankhudi is sitting lost in thought when the previous caretaker of DM comes in and informs that Adi has not come home nor is answering the phone.. Pankhudi is alarmed..
