The Episode starts with Ahilya coming to the darbar. She says I want everyone to observe silence for some time to mourn for Kesar’s suicide. The minister argues and asks will it be right to mourn for a dancer’s daughter’s death. She says we don’t need to see if the person should belong to a darbar or royal family. Gangoba says sorry, I don’t think its necessary. She says you are also saying this. He asks how long will we mourn for that girl, we have darbari and farmers here, we have to solve their problems. Malhar says Gangoba, I understand what you mean to say, I don’t want to tangle the Darbar in the family matters, I feel I should spend time with Gautama until she recovers. Gangoba says I can understand your feelings, you go to Gautama, I will hold the darbar proceedings for sometime. Gangoba asks everyone to pray for Gautama’s well-being. The ministers leave.
Malhar asks what did Malerao say. She says he refused to come. He angrily goes to Malerao. He sees Malerao sleeping and asks him to get up, Gautama is waiting. He asks what happened, he isn’t waking up. He gets the bad smell of the alcohol. He says he is drunk. Vaid checks Gautama. Gautama takes Malerao’s name. Malhar and Ahilya come. Vaid says the night will be difficult to pass. Everyone is shocked. They all sit surrounding Gautama. Mukta goes to call Malerao.
Vaid says Gautama is going to take her final breaths, make her drink some Gangajal. Malhar says I can’t do this. Vaid says we have to do what we can’t do, it’s a husband’s right to feed the gangajal to his wife in her last time. Malhar does the ritual and feeds her Gangajal. Maina sees Malerao. Malerao wakes up.
Mukta comes and scolds Malerao. She says Gautama is dying, I know you have lost Kesar, Gautama is taking your name, she is our Ajji, I beg you, just meet her once. She cries. Malerao goes to meet Gautama. Maina hugs Mukta. Gautama breathes her last. Everyone is shocked. They cry. Ahilya hugs Gautama.
Malerao comes and is shocked to see Gautama dead. Maina and Mukta come, and cry. Malerao cries. Its morning, everyone recalls their moments with Gautama. Gautama is taken for her final rites. Ahilya asks Malhar to calm down. Malerao says I m sorry, take me along, I didn’t come to meet you when you called me. Tukoji stops Malerao. He hugs Malerao and calms him down. Malhar lights the pyre. Everyone cries.
