The Episode starts with Khanderao telling Ahilya how Malhar got happy hearing his mission plans. She smiles. He says the credit goes to you, you told me that there will be many meanings for every word, this will help me a lot. He hugs her. They smile. He says you have always helped me and showed me the right direction always. She says you deserve the praise, this happiness and respect. He says you can ask me any gift. She says I don’t want any gift, but I want to talk to you, everyone is stopping me for this, you know me well, maybe… He asks what is the matter. Harku comes and asks Ahilya to come fast, Renu…. Ahilya and Khanderao go with her.
Dwarka, Rakma and Yamuna along with other ladies scold Renu and get the water for her Shuddikaran. Ahilya stops them. She hugs Renu. Dwarka asks Ahilya not to stop the rituals. Yamuna says this impure widow needs a Shuddikaran. Ahilya asks when did she get impure. Yamuna says her veil got off in front of a stranger. Renu says I didn’t do this intentionally, I was going. She tells everything.
Ahilya says its not Renu’s mistake. The ladies say its her mistake, Shuddikaran should happen. Rakma says the same. Ahilya asks Dwarka to think unlike others and support Renu. Dwarka refuses. Ahilya asks who are we to do a woman’s shuddikaran, can a cloth make or destroy a woman’s character, this can happen with anyone in hurry. Yamuna says she was running like a kid, does this suit her. Ahilya asks what’s these rules, widow’s any action upsets the society, why, is she not a human, did her emotions die with her husband, why is she punished for the mistake she didn’t do, why can’t she live by her wish. The lady says you will say tomorrow to get her remarried, can a widow get remarried. Ahilya says we have to bear the punishment of our actions, I can’t change the society’s thinking, I can’t do this miracle, one thing is decided, I won’t let Renu’s shuddikaran happen.
The ladies don’t support Ahilya. Dwarka says you say that Praja should have a right to give their opinion, see everyone is against you, you are a queen, they are refusing to accept your decision, you are wrong, you will make Praja against you. Ahilya says I want to stop the injustice tolerated by widows. Rakma says all the widows are against you. Dwarka says enough, I m also against you, Shuddikaran will happen. The ladies get the water pots. Khanderao shouts stop, its my command, Shuddikaran won’t happen, you all have to obey it. The ladies leave.
Dwarka taunts him for just remembering his rights, not duties. He leaves. She asks Ahilya are you happy now. She says I m elder to you, I want to advice you, don’t play with the old customs, this won’t happen again. Ahilya goes and thanks Khanderao. He says I love you and respect your thinking, I know you always think good for others, explain Renu and ask her to stay in her limits. She asks what are you saying. Tukoji comes and says we have to meet the soldiers now.
Renu thinks of everything and cries. Parikshit says Khanderao told me everything, I m sorry, won’t you say anything or get angry on me, your heart would be hurt, I can see you cried a lot, I will be glad if I can become a reason for your smile. She says sorrow is a part of my truth, I have no right to think of anything, it will be better that we don’t meet and don’t talk.
