Puneet Issar makes a return to the silver screen after six years with ‘Choti Sardarni’

Puneet Issar is well known for her role as Duryodhan in Mahabharat. The veteran actor who was last seen in Bigg Boss 8 is all set to make a comeback to the silver screen after a gap of six years with the show Choti Sardarni.

He is all set to join the team of Choti Sardarni. He will commence shooting in Delhi from next week onwards. IN an interview with Etimes, he talked about it and said, “It’s an interesting character. I will be introduced as the hero’s (Avinesh Rekhi) Tayaji (paternal uncle) and will play the patriarch of the family. The character is of a robust and principled person. This is the brief I have been given so far. The makers will share a detailed sketch and graph with me by tomorrow. I am selective when it comes to taking up a TV show. The role has to excite and intrigue me.”

Puneet being a 63 year old actor talks about the risk of shooting during the pandemic and says, “I agree that we are fighting a deadlier second wave. But life must go on…work can’t stop. For me, age is just a number. I am physically fit and mentally strong. I approach work with a positive mindset. It’s not about young or senior artistes. One has to be careful, follow all precautionary measures, wash hands regularly, mask up and maintain social distancing. The unit of Choti Sarrdaarni is shooting in a bio-bubble, making the atmosphere on the set safer for those at work.”

He further adds, “My wife, son and I are very particular about our health and diet. I work out for three hours every day. My son is into weight training and martial arts. In fact, my wife is the most disciplined in the house. They know I will be careful and are happy for me for taking up this opportunity. Ehtiyaat baratni hogi and it will be all good.”
