Pratham Kunwar’s Journey to Lead Roles: From Antagonist to Hero in Beti Hamari Anmol

In a significant career shift, actor Pratham Kunwar, known for portraying negative characters in popular shows, including Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, Meet, Rajjo, and Yeh Hai Chahatein, is gearing up to embrace a positive character in Beti Hamari Anmol. What adds an extra layer of excitement to this transition is that the daily soap marks Pratham’s debut in a lead role.

Expressing his enthusiasm in a recent interview, Pratham shares, “This show is extremely special as it marks my debut as a lead actor. I have been part of the industry for nearly seven years, and playing the hero has been my ultimate aspiration.” Reflecting on the journey, he adds, “I can’t express in words how thrilled and emotional I am. It feels like a dream come true. I am grateful to all those who had faith in me and encouraged me to envision this for me. I can proudly call myself a television hero.”

Acknowledging the role of timing in securing lead opportunities, Pratham emphasizes, “Jo hota hai achhe ke liye hota hai. Maybe, I wasn’t prepared earlier to lead a show and bear the responsibility of a project. People need to have trust in you to hand over the reins of a show, and that takes time.”

Looking ahead, Pratham aspires to explore central characters in OTT projects or films, believing that this newfound experience will prepare him for future opportunities. In Beti Hamari Anmol, he will be paired with Juhi Aslam, known for her role in Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari.

Sharing insights about the show, Pratham describes it as “an interesting story of a vertically challenged girl who dreams of becoming a doctor.” He hints at the complexities of his character, expressing affection for his cousin but finding himself in a situation where he is compelled to marry her at gunpoint. With the promise of an intriguing plot, Pratham believes the audience will resonate with the unique narrative of Beti Hamari Anmol.
