Scene 1
The family starts celebriting the occasion. Helena says both the DILs will show their clothes that they made and Ashok will cloose the winner, he will celebrate holi with the winner. Devi shows her dress, Dayana says its so pretty. She checks Kaurwaki plate and its empty. Devi smiles and think Kaurwaki fulfiled her promise. Dayana asks where is her dress? you both were ordered to make dresses for Ashok. Dharma asks Kaurwaki why didn’t she make the dress? Kaurwaki says I think this ritual is about loyalty and honesty so who knows who made what behind closed doors? The skills should be shown in front of everyone and we don’t know if Devi made the dress herself or asked her servants. I want to make the dress in front of everyone so my skills will be showcased to all. Helena says I agree with her, the people should see their skills so both the DILs will make their dresses here. Devi glares at Kaurwaki.
Devi and Kaurwaki start making their dresses. Devi glares at her and tries to make the dress but can’t. Otherside Kaurwaki makes it and thinks I wish Devi hadn’t hurt my brother, I would have done anything for her but I can’t let hurt my family so its time to show her place. Devi thinks I can’t believe she would backstab me like this, she proved today she isn’t a friend but an enemy now. Pawan asks Ashok what is going on? He says I am not sure but lets see.
Kaurwaki prepares her dress and shows it to everyone. They all praise it. Helena says its so pretty, she asks Devi to show hers. Helena checks it and laughs on her bad job. Helena says it shows Kaurwaki won over Devi. Its decided that she is the winner and Ashok will celebrate this ritual with her. Ashok grabs Kaurwaki’s hand and smirks. Devi glares at them.
Ashok and Kaurwaki do the lord Krishna’s pooja together. Dayana asks Ashok to apply color to Kaurwaki. Ashok whispers to Kaurwaki and says I didn’t know you wanted to celebrate this much with me that you backstabbed your friend. He applies color to her. Kaurwaki glares at Devi and applies color to Ashok.
Ashok and Kaurwaki dance in the function while all cheer for them. Ashok stares at Kaurwaki but she looks away.
Helena invites Bindusar to do the ritual. Bindusar comes there, Dayana stands with him but Dharma comes besides him too. Bindusar is lost and mistakenly makes Subhandhu wear the garland which was for the Lord. All are confused. Subhandhu says he must have wanted to appreciate me so its fine. Ashok is doubtful. Helena pulls Bindusar away and makes him wear the Lord’s idol wear the garland. Helena whispers to Sushim to take Bindusar away as he doesn’t seem fine.
Kaurwaki comes to her room and prays for Bindusar’s health. The servant is taking away Devi’s dress away so Kaurwaki stops her and says where are you taking her clothes? The servant says she wore this dupatta in the morning but then she wore another dupatta which was torn. Kaurwaki asks her servant Deepa if Devi went near the snake pit before the function? Deepa says not at all, she was busy preparing to play Holi with Ashok. Once she is ready then she would never go anywhere as she is concerned about her beauty. Kaurwaki says you are right. She says I mistook Devi’s actions.
Dharma is going to Bindusar’s room but Dayana stops her and says stay away from him. Ashok comes there and says this Dharma who is Bindusar’s queen so you can’t stop her. Dharma goes to his room. The doctor tells everyone that Bindusar was traumitized and is losing his memory. Its confirmed that he is going to completely lose his memory soon. Ashok is shocked hearing that.
