These are the times when not only occasions but usual luxuries of life seem scarce. No one has the liberty to be social anymore and well, due to the same people are postponing their weddings too.
Devon Ke Dev Mahadev actress Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had a wedding planned in April. But due to COVID-19, their plans seem to have been postponed. With the nationwide shutdown, the couple is rethinking their wedding plans.
In an exclusive conversation with a leading portal, actress said, “The outbreak has affected us. We are giving it a thought to postpone. We haven’t taken a definitive call yet but will see in April.”
Even though Pooja had started with her shopping for the wedding but all of it came to a halt. She said, “The situation is such that we have to sit with our families and decide after March 31.”
Puja and Kunal’s wedding was supposed to take place in Mid-April in a traditional Bengali ceremony. But the situation is making them maintain a social distance instead. The actress shared, “He stays in close vicinity but he can’t visit my place nor can I. We have taken to video calls to check up on each other. Entry is banned in our society. There are a few cases next to my building hence proper measures are being taken.”
Pooja is spending quality time with her family narrating childhood stories. “This is the rarest of opportunities to spend time with family and we should utilize it to fullest. I love cooking and spending most of the time in kitchen. I am sitting and chatting with my family and spending time with friends on video calls.”
“We should be very cautious because people are not taking it seriously it. Nature is balancing right now. The least we can do is stay at home. Our population is more than the medical facilities available,” advises Puja.
