Police issue first official statement on ‘TMKOC’ Gurucharan Singh’s disappearance

Gurucharan Singh, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the beloved sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” has been reported missing for four days. The actor, who had been visiting his parents in Delhi, was scheduled to return to Mumbai but has not been heard from since April 22, prompting concerns from family and fans. His disappearance led to the filing of a complaint by his father, prompting the Delhi Police to take action and register an FIR on suspicion of kidnapping.

In the latest update on Gurucharan Singh’s disappearance, DCP South-west Rohit Meena issued an official statement reported by ANI. Meena disclosed, “Gurucharan Singh’s family lodged a complaint with us that he left for Mumbai on 22 April at 8:30 pm. He has been missing since then. We have registered a case and are investigating from multiple angles.” Meena further revealed that crucial clues had been discovered and investigations were underway, with the case registered under Section 365 of the IPC.

The investigation initially focused on tracking Singh’s movements through CCTV footage, which captured sightings of him carrying a backpack as he crossed a road in the Palam area around 9:14 pm on Monday night, despite his scheduled flight departure at 8:30 pm.

Concerns escalated as details emerged about Singh’s character and habits from a neighbor named Akash. Akash revealed that Singh would occasionally visit his parents’ residence, displaying warmth and affection towards the neighborhood children, often taking photos with them. The revelation of Singh’s disappearance came as a shock to the community, who had only recently become aware of his absence.

As the search for Gurucharan Singh continues, the mystery surrounding his disappearance deepens, leaving both his loved ones and fans anxious for answers.
