PolesApart Episode 2: Meeting someone special?

Riddhima dropped the lady and then reached her apartment. The apartment was given by the hospital itself to her and was on the 4^th floor of an enormous building named “Riva Groups”.

She reached to her apartment put the bags in the hall. The apartment was fully furnished and was huge.

Riddhima(to herself): “O my! Such a big house for just one girl!”

She freshen up and changed into a formal shirt and pant and a blazer. She made a pony out of her hair.

And was ready to meet the HOD of the Mumbai City Hospital. Just then her phone rang.

Voice: “Good morning, Dr Riddhima. Do you reached Mumbai?”

Riddhima: “Yes Sir, in fact I am in the apartment.”

Voice: “O good. I called you to inform that HOD has cancelled your meeting today, he will meet you tomorrow. He want you to give a day off for unpacking your things and adjusting in your new home.”

Riddhima: “Oh that’s so nice of him. Thank You sir. Bye”

Voice: “Good day Doctor”

Riddhima sighed and watched her apartment. She was just looking when she heard a giggle. She followed the voice which was coming from balcony. From her balcony she could see a girl of about four or five playing with some children.

She went downstairs in the garden and sat on a bench. The girl was running with her friends when she suddenly fell and hurt her elbow. Riddhima ran toward her. She took her in arms and made her sat on her lap. Girl was glancing at her.

Riddhima: “Did this hurts?”

Girl(in a chirpy voice): “No!”

Riddhima: “O you are brave! Let me check,, you just need a dressing. Look I live in this building come with me I will clean your wound.”

Girl: “No…papa says little children should not talk to strangers!”

Riddhima(with a smile): “O my! Okay little child! I am Dr Riddhima.” (forwarding her hand)

The girl also forwarded her hand and both of them shake their hands.

Girl: “I am Riva”

Riddhima: “Ok so Riva now we are friends?Will you go to my house now?”

Riva: “Friends! Yayy! Yes I will!!”

Both of them went to Riddhima’s apartment. When they reached the door was open. Riddhima was shocked. She remembered closing the door when she went down. She told Riva to stay outside and herself entered the house. She took a vase which was placed on the corner table and was searching for the intruder. When suddenly she saw someone’s shadow and instead of hitting him with vase, screamed and broke the vase. Now the intruder was standing in front of her. She could feel his breathe.

Intruder understood the situation and said: “Dr. Riddhima?”

Riddhima was stunned, she didn’t believe her ears.

Riddhima to herself: “Oh this guy knew my name! What the hell!! Will he kidnap me?”

Then suddenly Riva entered the apartment.

Intruder: “Riva, what are you doing here?”

Riddhima(to herself): “He knew this kid too! He is definitely here to kidnap us!”

Riddhima took Riva’s arm and commanded her to run.  Intruder held Riddhima’s other hand.

Intruder: “I am not a thief or a kidnapper! I came here to inform you..”

Riddhima cuts him in middle: “Stay away from us,” to Riva: “Let’s go”

Riva: “Dr. Ma why are you afraid from papa?”

Riddhima: “Papa?”

Intruder: “Dr. MA?”

Riva: “Papa meet my new friend Dr.Ma. And Dr. Ma meet my papa.”

Riddhima: “It’s Dr. Riddhima!”

Intruder: “Dr. Riddhima, I am Vansh RaiSinghania. This is my building. And actually I have bought this apartment just a days back. I was here just to inform you that you had to shift at some other place since it’s mine!”

Riddhima: “Hello, Mr RaiSinghania, actually this apartment has been given to me by the hospital authorities itself, you talk to them related to this matter.”

Vansh: “Already talked! I promised them that I will give you another apartment, till then I have booked a hotel for you.”

Riddhima simply nodded.

Vansh: “You take your luggage I will drop you to the hotel!I know you are new to Mumbai!”

Riddhima(to herself): “How come this man knows so much about me? I could sense mystery in his eyes! I think he is dangerous!”

Riva: “Papa, let us take Dr.Ma to our home, till you find a nice house.”

Vansh: “Beta, it’s Riddhima.. call her Riddhima aunty!”

Riddhima: “No.. Dr. MA is better!”(said annoyingly)

Vansh(to himself): “Oh god these women!huh!”

Suddenly his phone rang..

Voice: “Sir please come home fast, Anu aunty fell”

Vansh took Riva in his one hand and held Riddhima by her hand. Until Riddhima could speak anything he spoke: “I need you, it’s urgent!”

Riddhima could sense fear in his eyes, she quietly followed him. All three of them reached VR Mansion.
