Ishwari goes to Dev’s room. Mamaji calls doctor…

GKB (Radha Rani): ~Enters home and sees Kichu running~ Arre! Why are you running like this? This is not your house!

GKB (Radha Rani): Hey bhagwan! Jiji… ~GKB’s pov~ Jiji, malkin? Mujhe memsaab? Soon, you will be calling me malkin… Dekhle na… Dev is hurt? Hmmm…When my son gets hurt, they don’t care… But when it is Dev, pura ghar ko sar par uta liya…
GKB enters Dev’s room
GKB (Radha Rani): Jiji… What happened! Hey bhagwan… Dev are you alright? Oh no, yeh kya… How did this happen? ~feels happy inside~
Ishwari: ~ignores her~ Bhaiyya doctor kahan hai? Give me the phone, I’ll call myself….
Doctor enters… Kichu waits outside
Ishwari: Doctor! Please check him quickly… I am so worried…
Doctor opens the bandages and checks… Finds couple of glass pieces in the hand and foot… Gives injection and does bandage again…
Ishwari looks worried but Dev doesn’t react and is lost throughout the treatment
Doctor: I have cleaned the wounds and he should get better now… Good that you guys called me… There were couple of glass pieces in there… No walking or using the right hand till it heals… ~writes prescription~ Bring the medicines listed here and give him time to time…
Ria: Yes, doctor… We will take care…
Doctor: Don’t worry… He’ll recover soon… However, I am surprised…
Ishwari: Surprised? Kyun doctor? My son is very strong… That’s why na?
Doctor: No… How did this accident happen?
Mamaji: We weren’t here. I heard glass breaking and came up… Saw Dev hurt… Immediately, cleaned how much ever possible and did the first aid… Why doctor?
Doctor: Usually, when the wound is caused due to glass pieces, we are extra careful… No pieces should be left out or it can go in deep and cut all nerves and vessels inside the body… It would hurt a real lot even if doesn’t go deep… Your son had couple of pieces and it was bandaged tight… Yet, your son didn’t flinch… No matter how strong a person is, they’ll show some kind of reaction… But he didn’t… Your son is lost in thoughts… I was surprised that how come he didn’t feel the pain… I hope everything’s fine…
Anyway, take care of him… Call me if there’s any emergency
Mamaji: Come I’ll escort you out…
Kichu comes and cleans up the area…
Ishwari sits beside Dev and massages his head
Ishwari: Dev… You were acting na that it doesn’t hurt? For my sake?
Dev: ~looks at his ma~ No ma… I really didn’t feel any pain… I am feeling numb… Don’t worry, this will heal quickly… ~Dev’s pov~ This will heal ma… I don’t know whether my heart will heal… More so, if my Sona’s heart will heal… Bu I will endure it ma… For your sake… I will…
GKB (Radha Rani): How did this happen? See, I was outside for some time and this happened… Waise kya toota? Hey bhagwan… This is our new family photo! Jiji… Aapko pata hai na… Breaking of glass is abshagun… And that too it’s a family picture…
Ishwari looks troubled… Dev is silent
Mamaji: What are you telling! Ishwari, it was an accident… We can give the photo and mend the frame again…
GKB (Radha Rani): Hai hai… I was only trying to tell… Jiji, we should keep a havan… Only bad things happening here… I would say that, that Bengalan’s bhuri saya hasn’t left the family yet… See na jiji, first you became sick, now breaking of glass… I mean breaking of family photo… Dev getting hurt… Back to back only bad things happening
Dev: ~Clenches his hand~ MAMI! DON’T INSULT MY SONA!
Ishwari looks her son shocked…
Dev: ~Composes himself~ I am sorry ma… I mean you don’t need to tell bad about Ms. Bose… It was an accident… But if you want to keep havan… Go ahead… But don’t expect me to attend the same…
GKB (Radha Rani): Hai hai… See, he insulted me for that Bengalan again… All I wanted to was help… I care for this family and receive only taunts… No respect for elders at all…
Ishwari: Bhabhi…
GKB walks out angrily ~GKB’s pov~ Ufff… Bengalan jab ghar par thi, I was always insulted… Ab Bengalan chali gayi… Still I get insulted… Keep insulting… One day soon, all this will be mine and my son’s… Then you will see… Who gets insulted Ishwari jiji
Ishwari looks worried at Dev
Dev: I am sorry ma… I shouldn’t have reacted that way… I will apologize to mami tomorrow morning… I am feeling very tired… May I rest?
Ishwari: Haan haan… You take rest… Chaliye bhaiyya… Let him take rest…
Ria and Nikki: Good night Bhaiyya!
Dev rests silently and turns away…

Ishwari walks out tensed…
~Ishwari’s pov~ What happened to Dev… Guess he was worried about his work… And it slipped?
Mamaji: Ishwari… Ishwari… Where are you lost? Don’t worry Dev is alright… Don’t take tension…
Ishwari: ~suddenly jerking~ Haan bhaiyya… My son is strong… Nothing will happen to him… He’s alright
Ishwari walks away to her room
Ria: Mamaji, it is bigger problem than we thought… We need to do something quickly…
Mamaji: Let’s do it tomorrow… Sooner the better…

~Ishwari’s Room~
Ishwari is unable to sleep… The whole evening keeps playing in her mind. She sits and keeps switching on and off the table lamp
~Ishwari’s pov~ Is my Dev alright? Bhabhi was right… Recently, only bad things happening at home… I should keep havan… “MAMI! DON’T INSULT MY SONA” What happened to Dev… The way he exploded… “You think that he’s all fine and happy. Ask your heart, you will get the answer”. Why do I remember Sona’s words again and again? Was she right? Is Dev unhappy because of me? No… If he was, he would’ve told me….
GKB (Radha Rani) walks out of her room… ~GKB’s pov~ The servants don’t do their work properly… Can’t they fill my jug with water and keep? If they had, I wouldn’t have had to come out in middle of the night like this… Peeks into Ishwari’s room… Arre jiji is awake?
GKB enters Ishwari’s room…
GKB (Radha Rani): Arre jiji… You are awake? Why didn’t you sleep? You will spoil your health otherwise… ~GKB’s pov~ What is bothering her? I must find out…
Ishwari: Kuch nahi Bhabhi… Was slightly worried… Did I do something wrong? Is my Dev unhappy because of me? You saw how he was in thoughts all the time? Upar se doctor bhi keh rahe the… He wasn’t showing any kind of reaction… And the way he shouted at you! He called her My Sona… Was Sona right?
GKB (Radha Rani): ~GKB’s pov~ Hey bhagwan… If she realizes, she will get that Bengalan back… What about my dreams… This property… Nahi nahi… Arre jiji… You are taking tension for nothing… Ya I felt bad when he shouted at me like that… But that is your parvarish jiji… He respects women… So I think he didn’t want me to tell like that… See, Sona is so chalu… Dev kicked her out… But she’s trying to come here using you…
Ishwari: Bhabhi… You are right… My Dev is one in a crore… He would never see a lady getting disrespected… I am worrying for nothing… My son has seen worst incidences than these… He is fine… Just work tension… That’s all…
GKB (Radha Rani): See… Jiji we all are there for him… Now sleep peacefully… ~GKB’s pov~ Thank god… Stupid Bengalan… Because of her I had to praise Ishwari’s parenting…
GKB walks out and looks shocked….
