Next day morning both Rish and Maya were eagerly waiting for their surprise. Clock stucked 8.30 am but there was no sign of mom’s arrival. So they both decided to head to their work with disappointment. Suddenly mom came in front of them and shouted SURPRISE!!! They both are eagered to know about their surprise. Mom gave them tickets to go to Mumbai. Maya was disturbed hearing Mumbai and Rish was not ok to go there with Maya. They both denied. But mom firmly said them to go. Rish made an excuse of heavy work at office and Maya made an excuse of having an important surgery. Mom said that she had spoken to both of their higher officials and have got permission to take leave. Both looked at each other but mom said, “oy hello… you both are not going to honeymoon.. i know your level of comfort… i am sending you there to visit a special place… don’t worry it is not a trip to romance… you will get to know once you reach there”
Both Maya and Rish tried to give many excuses but mom said in a strict tone to go. They had no other options left. They both packed their bags and headed to airport. Mom said to herself that, “i am sorry my dear laddu… i had no other options… i don’t have guts to reveal maya’s past to you… this way, you will get to know about her… and i don’t know how you will react… but trust me.. i am doing this for maya’s happy life… you will be there for her… may god bless you both”
On their way, Maya called Karthik and informed about it. Karthik said that he already knew it but be careful and i am happy for you. Maya said, “it will remind me of my past… hope i should not fall weak again..” Karthik said that she will not fall weak as Rish is with her and asked her to inform once she reached. Maya asked him to take care. Rish and Maya boarded their flight. During their journey, they both did not utter a word. Rish felt embarrased to go with her whereas Maya had her past flashed in her mind constantly. Rish broke this silence by asking, “why are you so disturbed? Even i am not comfortable…”
Maya: no actually i am ok
Rish: so far i know you, i think there will be some reason behind your silence.. because you can’t keep your mouth shut for even a minute… you are a combination of chatter box and radio dabba…
Maya just smiled
Rish clearly understood that something is disturbing her…
Rish: look maya… you can share with me…
Maya looked at him..
Rish: i know what you are thinking… i know something is troubling you… or else you would have argued with me for pulling your leg…
Maya looked down and said: mumbai will remind me of my past… i met that monster in mumbai… i don’t know what iw ill do of he comes in front of me… i may fall weak again…
Rish: whoever may be the monster… my lady samurai will defeat him.. you will not fall weak…
Maya: do you think i am your lady samurai? Can i defeat him?
Rish: yes you can… just open your mouth and start to argue with him… he will fall in your feet and will beg..
Maya laughed at this…
Maya: thank you Rishu… whenever i am sad, you make me to laugh…
Rish: yes… who will see that sad face?
Maya opened her jaws and stared at him angrily but started to laugh…
Rish: laugh like this… don’t keep mum…
Maya smiled and said ok..
Rish: why do you always open your jaws frequently?
Maya: thats manufacturing defect…
Rish: lol… thats so funny…
Maya started to argue again but before that announcement has been made that flight will be landed in 5 minutes.. so all passengers got ready…
At the exit, RiMa saw a name plate which said, “Mr.Agarwal and Mrs.Agarwal”… they went to that man who introduced himself as Joseph. All three went to a hotel where they are going to stay. It was already booked by mom. RiMa went to their booked room to fresh up. They both were relieved after seeing the room as it was not a honeymoon suite and they did not get an idea what mom is upto. They got ready and Joseph uncle took them to a church. Maya was emotional on seeing the church. She got down of the car and closed her eyes. Tears were flowing. Someone came and said, “how are you beti?” She turned to see the church father there. She happily went to him and took his blessings. Rish too came out and took his blessings. Father asked, “is he your husband?” Maya nodded yes. Father blessed him. “Come on beti everyone is waiting for you….” they all went inside. Maya was left speechless by seeing the kids there. Everyone shouted, “Congratulations manu” (remember? she changed her name from Manisha to Maya)
She went and hugged all the kids. Everyone gave her and Rish a rose. She happily said, “this is my best wedding gift” Rish was overwhelmed with their love. She searched for someone but father said that, “he is angry on you as you got married without him… he is hiding somewhere”
Maya smiled, she sat down and wantedly shouted, “aaaaahhhhhh i have fallen down… please someone pick me up”… A small boy came running and stretched his hands but turning his face somewhere. Maya said, “someone is angry on me it seems… i feel like crying”… The boy said that, “don’t do drama… i am not a kid anymore.. i am 8 years old now…” Maya said, “ok… in that case, only kids should have chocolates nah?” Saying this, she opened her bag and started distributing chocolates to everyone. The boy still in an angry tone said, “who said so? Big boys also eat chocolates” saying this he grabbed one and start eating. Maya holded her ears and said sorry. The boy smiled and hugged her. He went to Rish and said, “so you are my lucky jiju.. lift me up” Rish lifted him and the boy kissed him on his cheeks and congratulated him. Rish was so happy and thanked him. The little boy stretched his hands and said, “Hai jiju… I am john… your wife’s ex boyfriend… she left me and married you” Rish was surprised at his talks and wondered how can an 8 eight old boy speak like this and he said to himself that afterall he is Maya’s friend.
John: hello… how long should i stretch my hand?
Rish: sorry Mr. John… I am Rishwanth Nand Agarwal… shortly RNA…
John: What is this name? RNA, DNA? I have heard about those words only in my science book…
Rish and Maya laughed at this
Rish: ok Mr.John… you can call me however you want…
John: you are my manu’s husband.. so i will call you jiju…
Rish: ok my dear champ… what is your gift for your manu’s wedding?
John: ohh no I forgot..
John ran away and brought a handmade card, on which there was a boy and a girl and above that he has written congratulations manu… Maya alias manu was so happy on seeing that. She thanked him and kissed him. John said, “i am a big boy… so don’t kiss me.. kiss my jiju…” maya and rish were embarassed and she lifted John and went to play with John and other kids.
Father and Rish had a talk together.
Father: how are you beta? And what are you doing?
Rish: I am fine with god’s blessings father…. and i am a journalist…
Father: thats good beta… this is the church where manu was grown and spent her childhood… she used to visit here whenever possible… but after her life was destroyed, she stopped believing god… there is a home beside this church… she and all the kids stay there…
Rish felt bad hearing that and he said to himself that, “acho… how did she grow without mom’s love and dad’s care?”
Father: and your mom is really good… she has arranged all these for Manu’s happiness…
Rish: haha her name is Maya… but she has many nicknames it seems…
Father: no beta… manu is her original name… after her first marriage, she changed her identity from manu to maya…
Rish: what first marriage? Is she married already?
Father: don’t you know beta? I asked your mom to tell everything before your marriage….
Rish: no she did not tell me anything… and does my mom know you before itself?
Father: yes beta… in fact your mom knows about manu from her first marriage itself and she also know how manu’s life destroyed…
Rish: wwwwwwwhat? But how? If you don’t mind, can u please tell me about her past? I just need to know how my mom is related to her..
