Perception of Life (Part 3)

Before I start with my story, I wanted to thank you all for your comments. I’m trying to keep my story with the on-going track but also add in my own spin to the story…something I hope you all enjoy.
Here’s the next part to my story…

Part 3

Shivay’s POV:

“I did everything I can to keep the two of you apart” “I will find another way” These words keep repeating in his mind. “What is Daksh talking about? What did he do?” He continues to replay everything that happened since Daksh’s arrival and he could not find the answer.

“Shivay baby, what are you thinking about? Never mind I came to tell you, isn’t it a good thing that Daksh came now? Now you can divorce Anika and marry me and now that Daksh is back he can marry her and they can live their life and we can live ours. Shivay baby? Are you listening to me?” Tia shakes Shivay to get his attention.

“Ha Tia you are correct. It is good that he is here now.” Shivay turns around and looks out his window. “Tia I have to make an important call can I talk to you later?”

“Sure Shivay baby. I will come back later.” She leaves his room. Shivay stands upset thinking of the day’s event. He can’t seem to figure out what Daksh was talking about and that was making him angrier then anything. He thinks maybe Anika will know what he is talking about. “Yes, she will have to know. I will ask her.” He leaves his room and goes in search of Anika. He goes to her room and knocks on the door but gets no answer. He thinks maybe she’s with Dadi and goes in search of her and finds her in the kitchen.

Anika looks up and see Shivay coming into the kitchen. She looks away continues her work. Shivay stands there waiting for her to acknowledge him but seeing her ignoring him makes him fume in anger. “Who does she think she is? How dare she ignore me?” Anika makes a move to leave the kitchen but is blocked by Shivay. She looks up at him questioningly then turns the other way to leave but once again she is blocked by him.

“How long will you ignore me? I need to speak to you about something important.” She looks up at him and waits for him to continue. As he continues looking at her she raises her eyes in question for him to continue. “I told you I need to speak to you about something important!” Shivay looks at her angrily.

“Do you have the papers ready? I want to sign them and leave ASAP.” Anika says back to him. Shivay looks at her being somewhat shocked. “What? What other important matters could the two of us have? If you don’t have the papers ready then there is nothing for us to talk about. It’s been 3 months and you haven’t given me the papers yet. If you can’t get them ready then I will find a good lawyer to do the documents.” Saying this she turns and leaves a shocked Shivay in his wake.

Shivay looks at Anika’s retrieving figure and tries to understand what just happened. “Whatever. I have to make an important call. This ladiki!” He also leaves from there.

Anika’s POV

Anika in her room thinks of everything that had happened that day. Now with Daksh back, everything got a little more complicated. Her phone rings breaking her from her thoughts.
“What? Give him the phone I will talk to him. Sahil? What’s the matter? Hello? Sahil? Sahil? Sahil? What happened to this phone?” She looks at her phone. Cuts the call and tries it again but this time the line comes as buys and she can’t seem to get someone on the other line. Worried she gets up and leaves her room.
In the evening…

Third person POV

Everyone gathers at the dining table for dinner except Anika.

“Where is Anika puthar?” Dadi asks looking around at everyone but no one seems to know where she is. She gets up and goes to Anika’s room and finds the room empty. She comes out and asks everyone if they saw her. Everyone gets up looking for her but they can’t seem to. Dadi starts to get week thinking something might have happened to Anika, and seeing this Shivay tells her to go and rest and that he will look for her.

Everyone agrees and talks Dadi into going to lay down for a bit. They walk her to her room and just as Dadi was about to get on her bed she sees a note there. She picks it up and reads it and stands shocked. Silent tears falls down from her eyes and she falls the bed crying out loud. Seeing her condition, everyone goes to her. Om picks up the note and reads it and he too stands there shocked. One by one each member of the family reads the note. Finally Shivay gets it and reads the note:

“Dadi,

I am sorry, but I cannot be here anymore. I am leaving and will not be returning. Tonight I realized something that I didn’t realize all this time. While I may be legally married to your grandson neither he nor this house is mine. I just can’t seem to get rid of this nagging feeling as if I’m committing some kind of mistake, sin by staying in your house. While I have all of your love and acceptance, this marriage is not something that I wanted. You know the reason why I sat with your grandson and got married to him. I didn’t want this marriage but it happened. But now enough is enough, I can’t stay in your house as the other women. I know you are probably wondering why I am calling myself the other women while wearing his mangalustra and sindhoor, but that is the feeling that I am getting. And let’s be honest Dadi, this is the truth. I am the other women. I am the secret wife that no one knows about. I am the women who will face disgrace for being the secret wife, and I don’t know if I will be able to take it. It will be better that I leave now with my head held high before the truth comes out.

I’m sorry Dadi for not informing you first, but I know if I say anything about leaving you will not let me go, that is why I am leaving without informing you all. Please tell your grandson that I will send him the papers for him to sign ASAP.

I hope to see you in the future, but at the same time I want to forget everything that has happened, so if we ever meet in the future, please and I am sorry to say this but please don’t come and talk to me. Let this be our goodbye forever.

Bye Dadi, thank you for everything. I will repay you Sahil’s loan money ASAP. I have put Sahil’s house papers in your closet, one day he will come to you to pay you for the house and get the legal papers from you, until then please keep it safe. If possible, lock the house and don’t let Bua take it from him.

I am sorry for everything. If I did any mistakes without my knowledge please forgive me.

Goodbye Dadi, please let everyone know that I am leaving.

Anika.”

Shivay stands there shocked after reading Anika’s goodbye letter. He can’t believe that she just left. He keeps reading the letter to see if she has left any kind of indication as to where she’s going, but nothing. He stands there paralysed.

“Why are you standing there like a statute, go and find her. Bring her back home and until you do I will not have anything to eat or drink and that is my promise.” Dadi continues crying, while Janvi, Sowmy and Priyanka try to console her.

“Mummyji what are you talking about. She left on her own. Let her leaves. Now I can get my Shivay and Tia married.” Pink looks around smiling at everyone. She walks over to Tia “Oh my Mata, Shitai marriage is finally going to happen. I will make this wedding grand. My son and daughter-in-law is going to get married finally!” She walks away taking Tia along with her to start the preparation for the wedding.

Every member of the family looks after them as Dadi continues to cry.

“Dadi, please don’t cry. Rudra and I will go and look for her. She may have went to see Sahil at the boarding school. We will go and bring her back.” Om tells Dadi and takes Rudra along with him.

“OmRu” Shivay calls out to them.

“Shivay we don’t have time to hear your nonsense. We have to go and get Anika. You go and start your wedding preparation.” Om tells him angrily and starts walking away.

“Stop. I will come to.” OmRu stop and turn to look at him. “What? Dadi just said that she will not have anything until this girl comes back. I have to find her for Dadi’s sake.” OmRu give him a ‘you’re impossible’ look and continues out the door with Shivay following them. Shivay stops at the door and turns and looks at Dadi, while she turns her head away from him. He walks out the door and follows his brothers.
