Actor Pearl V Puri who was last seen in the television show Brahmarakshas 2, has been granted bail in the alleged rape and molestation of a minor girl. Pearl was arrested on June 4 by the Waliv police (Vasai) under POCSO act (Protection of Children from s*xual Offences).
After today’s hearing his lawyer, Rajeev Sawant, confirmed the news to ETimes TV. In the last hearing, Pearl Pearl was sent for judicial custody for more than a week. He will be coming out of jail after 11 days.
His lawyer applied for his bail on June 7 but it was denied. The alleged incident took place in 2019 during the shoot of his tv show, Bepanah Pyaarr. The victim is the daughter of Pearl’s co-star.
On the professional front, Pearl has done several tv shows including Badatameez Dil, Nagarjuna, Bepanah Pyaarr, Naagin 3 and Meri Sasu Maa. He has also been part of reality shows such as Kitchen Champion 5, Khatra Khatra Khatra and Box Cricket League 4.
