Parth Samthaan spills the beans: Was he the reason for KZK 2 to wrap?

Parth Samthaan is one of the most good looking actors of today’s television. He played the role of Anurag Basu in the season 2 of popular TV show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay recently opened up about the real reason for quitting the daily. Parth denied the rumours of him being the reason for Kasautii wrapping up and thanked Ekta Kapoor for supporting him. In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Parth talked about the lockdown period, about the phase when he tested positive for COVID-19 and the absence of his father in his life.

“All the reports of Kasautii Zindagii Kay wrapping up or shutting down because of me were absolutely wrong and baseless. It was not like that. It was an overall decision by the makers by the channel. Yes, I won’t lie that I had reached a saturation point and I wanted to grow. The situation at that time was very difficult for all of us to work together. Not only on our show but other shows as well. Because the situation we all were in was not right everyone was in a panic mode. It was difficult at that point. Now, the situation has completely changed and if there were any rumours of me having a fallout with Ekta Kapoor maam, the answer is right in front of everyone that I am doing her web show and she really liked my work. She is very happy and actually praised my performance. I am very glad and grateful enough that she understood and she took it very maturely and she was very sensible enough and I respect her for that. I am very thankful to her for that,” he shared

Parth, who was tested positive for COVID-19 last year and the shoot of his show had come to a halt for a few days, described it as a difficult phase, he said, “It was very shocking how initially people were having a certain reaction towards me. But let’s be practical, that time was very difficult and different for all of us. Let’s face it it’s not like we are unnecessarily overreacting to it. It was a panic situation and even the smallest thing would make people panic. Plus many of us were not aware about the facts of this virus back then. The dos and don’ts. Right now we are very well aware about it, we are educated and informed about the virus. There’s an awareness about COVID-19 which was lacking at that time. It was a difficult phase. Fortunately for me, the COVID was not as serious as it was for others. I recovered very soon as I had mild symptoms and it was an experience all together. I learnt who the real people are who really care about me and there were so many people who stood and prayed for me. They gave lots of prayers, wishes and love to me. That is something that I acknowledge and feel blessed about.”

He also spoke about the lockdown period and how it taught him to value close ones even more, “The only thing I have learnt during the last one year and during the pandemic was to value my loved ones, to be with them, spend time with them and to cherish those memories. Because these are the memories that you won’t get back. When you get back to your normal daily routine, your work life you won’t have time for that. This is one thing that I always cherish. During this lockdown, a lot of people came close to me, a lot of people I developed close relationships with and I generated new, positive and beautiful people in my life. And now I have very good friends who are there for me,” he shared.

Talking about losing his father last year and feeling his absence in his life, the actor shared, “Everyone wishes and wants that their parents should be around them always. But it’s an unfortunate circumstance and your hands are tied and nothing is in your control. Of course, I would love that my father would always be around me and I am sure he’s watching me, he’s proud, happy. I know he’s seeing me that I am growing and he’s happy that I am doing such good work. According to my mother, I am doing great work and one person who I can see visually is my mother. I am sure my dad would be proud of me.”
