Parineeti fame Ashish Dixit reveals why he quit the show for the remake of Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein

Ashish Dixit, who entered Parineetii in June to essay the parallel lead, quit the show in a month to take up a new show. The actor was roped in to essay a pivotal role in a Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein (2010) remake, which is titled Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein.

Ashish confirmed the news during a recent interview and shared, “Yes, I am a part of the Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein remake. The makers plan to retain the original story with a little tweaking to suit the current TV audience.”

Talking about the reason behind quitting Parineetii, he said, “I was roped in to play the parallel lead opposite Tanvi in June. Everything was going smooth in terms of my track and I was quite happy with the graph of my character until they decided to introduce some creative changes to up the ratings. As a result, my track was put on hold. When they decided to reintroduce my character, I had certain conditions and apprehensions regarding my comeback. I was told that it wasn’t feasible to accommodate my conditions regarding my track and hence, I decided to quit the show. I told them that I would be taking up a new show. An actor can’t sit at home for long because it is a question of sustenance. I started looking out for opportunities and bagged this show. I am glad I made the move.”

However, Ashish would love to work with the production house again. “I respect their decision of tweaking the story in an attempt to get better ratings. At the end of the day, a show has to run for a long time. But as an artist, I didn’t have much to explore. Having said that, it was a great association and I would love to work with them again.”
