Simran worries over Aditya’s refusal to marry Nisha and feels clueless about convincing him. Jasleen happily remarks that the engagement is over, but senses Simran is hiding something. Simran confides that she doesn’t want to stress the ailing Sushama, but admits Aditya personally told her he would not marry Nisha. Jasleen advises her to control Aditya strictly, as Sushama once did, and to keep a close eye on him since Preet is seeking his attention and Sarada is determined to fix their alliance.
Jasleen further provokes Simran against Preet and Sarada, calling Sarada a servant and claiming that humiliating her would anger Preet enough to create distance from Aditya. Simran vows not to let her son marry Preet. Meanwhile, Aditya encounters Preet, who initially asks him to leave. In a fleeting imagined moment, she hugs him from behind, but in reality, she only returns his engagement ring, pointing out it’s beautiful but not the sacred thread ring, and asks him to remove it. He refuses, questioning her right to order him.
The next morning, Parth informs Sushama that Aditya is still asleep. Gaurav apologizes for past misunderstandings and tries to check on Aditya, concerned about his state of mind. Neeti arrives early, announcing that the sangeet will be held tomorrow. While Preet lifts her family’s spirits by cooking breakfast—earning praise from Gurleen and Harjot—Gaurav visits Aditya as a friend, urging him to share his troubles. Neeti reminds him of the sangeet, and Aditya lies that he has no problem with it.
