Aditya firmly tells Sushma that he doesn’t want to get engaged to Nisha, even as the family tries to understand his reluctance and the priest warns them that the auspicious time is running out. Despite Aditya’s protests, Nisha slips the engagement ring onto his finger. He recoils, repeating that he doesn’t want the engagement, when suddenly Sushma clutches her chest and collapses. He calls for a doctor in panic—only to realize it was just a dream. Yet, in real life, Sushma actually does clutch her chest in pain. Pressured by concern for her health and the family’s peace, Aditya gives in. While a vision of Preet lingers in his mind, he puts the ring on Nisha’s finger, prompting the family to erupt in applause. Gurleen unintentionally records the moment, a recording destined to cause turmoil.
Elsewhere, Parineet checks on Sanju, overcome with emotion and confusion as blurry memories trouble her. She can’t understand why Sanju feels so familiar, and her pain spills over as Shilpa tries to comfort her. Watching from a distance, Gurinder remains unmoved, amused that Parineet still weeps as she always has.
Back at the celebration, Sharda brings out a cake, encouraging Aditya and Nisha to cut it together, while Neetu smirks. Wracked with guilt, Gurleen sends the engagement video to Harjot. Meanwhile, Preet arrives, anxious, only to have Harjot show her the video and taunt her that Aditya will never be hers. Despite the proof, Preet maintains her faith, insisting Aditya would never break his promise—he filled her hairline with sindoor. Sharda urges her to accept the truth, but Preet clings to hope, sure there must be a reason behind Aditya’s decision.
Simultaneously, Aditya confides in Simran, explaining he agreed to the engagement only for his grandmother Sushma’s sake. Simran warns him that revealing the truth now will only hurt Sushma more, leaving Aditya feeling trapped. Preet and Harjot’s argument escalates as Harjot calls her delusional, but Preet refuses to give up on the man she loves.
Just then, Harry delivers shocking news to Neeti—Preet is alive and has escaped their clutches. Neeti is stunned, and as she turns, she spots Preet right where she shouldn’t be.
