Scene 1
Rajeev asks Parineet to wait as he has some work. He leaves from there and is angry. Pari is waiting for him and looks around the room. She gets Neeti’s call and she tells her that I am at Rajeev’s house. Neeti recalls her discussion with Rakesh and asks if she found the right groom? Pari says yes, he cares for me and protects me a lot. I married a guy who respects my father, takes care of me, protects me, fights with the world for me. I have found my perfect groom. Neeti asks where is your groom? Let me talk to him. Pari says when you meet him then you will like him too. Neeti asks her to spend time with him.
Rajeev comes to Gurindar and asks till when he will have to act like a good husband in front of Pari? you know the truth so till when I have to pretend in front of her? Gurindar asks him to talk lowly, nobody knows the real reason behind this marriage. Rajeev says you know I am not made for this marriage. Gurindar says I had to do a lot to make Jaswant agree to this marriage. The flashback shows how she talked to Jaswant that I worry about your daughter, I just wanted to ask what you can do for your daughter? He says anything. Gurindar says I lost everything after my husband died so I wanted to ask if you can give me some of your lands? Jaswant says Parineet doesn’t like dowry. Gurindar says I am not asking for it but I am taking this land to get my honor back, it will benefit your daughter only. Jaswant agreed to give her land. Gurindar tells him to not tell it to Parineet. She asks for 80% of his land. The flashback ends. Rajeev says I did this marriage for you. The flashback shows how Gurindar told Rajeev that we will get the land if he marries Parineet. You can’t do marriage like your brother Sanju, we didn’t get anything out of that marriage. This is our chance to get respect back. Rajeev says I don’t like Parineet, I won’t marry her. Gurindar pleaded with him and told him he can do anything he wants after the marriage. Rajeev says really? She asks what does he want? Rajeev says I want to focus on my career, she says I won’t stop you. Rajeev says I want to go to a big city to live my life. Gurindar agreed to him. She says once we get the land then we will get our honor back, this village used to laugh at me but I will become rich again. Rajeev says I won’t love Parineet. Gurindar says you don’t need to, after this marriage you can live your life. The flashback ends. Rajeev tells Gurindar to let him live his life. Gurindar says I am getting this land to get my honor back, I don’t want wealth or money. I just want to answer back this village for insulting me. I like Parineet because she will bring my honor back. You know I talked to Parineet. The flashback shows how Gurindar came to her and asked if she wants to marry Rajeev? She was worried. The flashback ends. Gurindar says I praised you in front of her, I presented you as a good man so she said yes to the marriage. I wanted Pari to think that you are perfect for her. You did good acting and now she thinks you are a good guy. You are not any goon so don’t worry.
Pari is waiting for Rajeev and recalls her mother telling her that she is happy for her. Pari says thank you God for giving me a partner like Rajeev.
Rajeev tells Gurindar that I feel bad when I look at her. Gurindar says once we have property papers then you will be free, till then be a perfect husband in front of her. Just spend the night and from tomorrow I will take care of her and you can leave. Rajeev leaves.
Rajeev thinks I want to leave this village, I want freedom. He enters the room and Pari stands up. Rajeev says don’t stand up. His hand gets pricked by a thorn. Pari holds his hand and asks if he is fine? He says I am fine. He asks her to change and be comfortable. Pari blushes. Rajeev asks what happened? She says nothing. Rajeev says I want you to rest tonight, we have a life together so we don’t have to have a consummation night right now. Pari nods and goes to change. Rajeev is worried.
PRECAP – Rajeev tells Parineet that I like to sleep alone so I don’t think we would feel fine sharing a bed on day one. Do you know what I am saying? Pari nods and goes to sleep on the couch. She thinks Rajeev cares for me a lot. Rajeev thinks to get freedom from her. In the morning, Gurindar tells Rajeev that their land is the only hope otherwise who would marry a girl like Parineet? Rajeev turns to see Parineet standing there and hearing all that.
