Actress Dolly Sohi is a well known name in telly industry as she has been a part of many shows like Mere Rang Mein Rangne Waali, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Kumkum Bhagya, among others. She is currently seen as Gurpreet Jaswant Kakkar in the TV show Parineetii. The latest buzz is that she has now joined the cast of upcoming show, Piya Abhimani, and she will be essaying a negative role in the same.
Talking about the same she said, “I remember starting my showbiz journey around 2001 playing a lead heroine in Ekta Kapoors’ shows such as Kalash and Bhabhi. I was at the peak of my acting career during 2005 but had to take a break to get settled in my life. As written in my destiny it took me over years to resume back. But by God grace in 2012 I returned back and it has been successful 10 years now, there is no looking back and I’m getting powerful roles to essay back to back. But I always wanted to play a negative lead role in family drama. And I feel with Piya Abhimani, I will get that chance to bring my dream come true. Though I essayed grey for a small time in Meri Durga and Khoob Ladi Mardaani…Jhansi Ki Rani.”
Talking further about her role in the show she shared, “I’m playing a rich and powerful personality. I’m mother to the heroine (Aastha Sharma) and a very egoistic person. I will be seen as Kiran. I’m loving my look for the show, I’m sure my audience will enjoy watching me in dark shades in the show.”
Talking about shooting for two shows together, Dolly shared that for Parineeti, she doesn’t need many days. “The makers of Parineetii are very professional and kind towards me. They respected my decision of taking another show, as my role don’t need many days to shoot in their show. So whenever they need me I will manage to shoot with them. I hope it becomes easy for me to shoot for both the shows,” she said.
