Pani – a story we wish were true – Part 3

The next day parth wakes up with a bad hangover and a worse headache ! He then remembers last night, his fight with disha, the incident with niti and the watchman at the party !

First of all he quickly calls up disha and asks to meet her. They meet at a nearby restaurant.

Parth: look disha, I really don’t understand y r u behaving like this. See both of us should focus on our careers right now. Aur agar kaam ki vajah se ek dusre ko thoda kam time dete hain to it’s okay.. Tum bhi to last month ek assignment k liye bahar thi but I’m not holding that against u cuz I understand it’s ur work. Similarly even u have to understand.

Disha: parth u have to understand. Main ye nahin keh rahi k 24/7 mere paas raho but atleast kuch to time hona chahiye Na. Ek to we haven’t even announced our relationship on media officially so hum zyada publicly bhi mil nahi sakte so u have to take out time for us to meet otherwise .

Parth: listen m really done with this fight yar ! Okay fine we’ll see how we can make this work. So for now, let’s not fight on this ?

Disha: okay.

While going back home after meeting disha, parth passes by Rohan’s society where he had been last night. He sees the watchman sitting outside and feels guilty about what he had said to him last night as he was drunk and out of his senses. He parks the car outside and goes forward to talk to the watchman.

Parth: hello kaka
Watchman: kya hua beta ?
Parth: vo kal..kal jab main aya tha.. Vo actually..actually main.. He was not able to express what he wanted to.
Watchman: koi baat nahi beta.. Main tumhaare paas aate hi samajh Gaya tha ki tumne kuch zyada hi pi rakhi thi. Aur tum jo bhi Bol rahe the nashe mein Bol rahe the. To koi baat nahin.
Parth: umm haan vahi kehna chahta tha main. And he just utters a soft sorry and starts moving.
The watchman stops him !
Watchman: beta, kal raat shayad tumhaare Nashe ne kisi Aur ka bhi dil dukhaya tha. Usse bhi maafi maang Lena.
Parth remembers the argument with niti and feels guilty about that as well for a second but suddenly realises even she was quite rude to him so decides not to do anything about it ! He just gives the watchman a weak smile and leaves.
