Unworthy of
Sai is in labour and is calling out Virat. Virat is perplexed and looks towards his room. All the Chavan family members wake up listening to Sai’s wails. Virat is about to rush to his room when Pakhi stops him by catching his hand and says, “You promised me that you will do anything that I say”. Virat turns around, looks towards Pakhi and says, “Yes I know that I promised you and I will keep my promise but right now Sai is in pain. Let me be with her. I would have helped anyone who would have been in her state. I promise I will never go near Sai nor take my new-born kids in my arms as you have asked me to after her delivery.” Pakhi reluctantly leaves his hand. Virat runs towards his room. The other family members also reach there. The children cry seeing Sai in pain and tell Virat, “Baba what happened to Aai? Why is she crying?” Virat consoles them saying, “Don’t worry baada. Nothing will happen to your Aai. It’s time for your little brother and sister to come which is why she is in pain.” He then quickly picks Sai in his arms and takes her to the hospital. The other family members follow him.
Hospital
The doctor informs Virat and his family that Sai got into early labour because she is having twins however there are no complications and she will have a normal delivery. She then tells Virat that he can assist in Sai’s delivery if he wants to. Virat hesitates for a moment remembering his promise to Pakhi but then takes a deep long breath and informs the doctor that he would like to assist in Sai’s delivery. The doctor takes him inside the labour room. The other family members stand outside and pray. As they were praying, Pakhi comes and stands in front of them. The Chavan family members were shocked to see her completely alright. Vinayak goes and hugs her exclaiming, “Mumma you are completely well now!!” Ashwini happily tells her, “Thank God you are completely well now Patralekha, now our whole family will be complete and happy.” Pakhi, “Which family are you talking about Aai?” Ashwini was dumbstruck. Bhavani asks her, “What are you saying Pakhi? This whole family is yours. We consider you as one among us.” Pakhi, “You consider me as one among your family? Really Kaku? When you were the one to push my husband and my son towards Sai.” Bhavani was taken aback and tells her, “I have not done anything Patralekha!! Virat had always loved only Sai and Vinu realized his mother’s love which is why they went closer to Sai.” Pakhi, “And now I have come to get them back.” The family members were horrified to hear that.
Inside the labour room
Virat dresses himself in surgical clothes and sits besides Sai who is in labour. He catches her hand and tells her, “You have always forgiven me and been at my side whenever I need you. Will you forgive me once more?” Sai in pain, “Forgive you for what Virat?” Virat gasps. The doctor tells Sai, “Come on Mrs. Chavan push…push.” Sai puts on her might which is when Virat informs her, “Sai, Pakhi is cured from her paralyzed state and is back on her feet.” Sai cries on hearing it, “Aaaahhh!!” and delivers one of her twins. The doctor exclaims, “It’s a boy!!”
Outside
Bhavani asks Pakhi, “What do you mean Patralekha?” Pakhi, “Virat has promised me that he will leave Sai and never take his new-born children in his arms.” All the family members including the children were astounded.
Inside the labour room
Sai is still in pain. Virat in tears, “I know I am doing you wrong Sai but I did not know how to make up for what I did to Pakhi so I had to promise her….” Sai looked on anxiously. Virat continues, “I had to promise her that I will leave you and never take our new-born children in my arms.” Sai screams once again and delivers her other twin. The doctor exclaims, “It’s a girl!!” and congratulates Sai and Virat saying, “Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Chavan. You have got a son and a daughter.” Virat in tears painfully looked at Sai. Sai tearfully murmurs, “Don’t leave me and my children Virat, Don’t leave us!!” and passes out on saying that. Virat cries and wipes her tears saying, “I am sorry Sai. I will have to do this.” The doctor informs him that the babies will be shifted to the nursery shorty and he can visit them after that. Virat sadly looked on.
Outside
The family members hear the cry of the babies and happily congratulate each other. Pakhi was dismayed and did not participate in the family’s happiness. Savi tells Vinayak, “Yay Vinu Dada!! I have become a big sister!!” Vinayak, “And I have become an even bigger Dada!!” They hug each other in joy. As the family members were busy in the happiness of the arrival of two new members, Bhavani’s eyes fall on Pakhi who did not look happy about it. She warns her, “I know what you are thinking Patralekha but don’t you dare try to break Virat and Sai’s family.” Bhavani leaves after saying that. Pakhi smirks thinking, “Too late Kaku. Because Virat will only do what I have asked him to.”
Nursery
All the babies are kept in observation. Virat enters the nursery and looks for his children. Soon he notices two cradles with the name Sai Chavan written on them. He goes near them and gets emotional seeing his babies. He is about to take them but stops himself remembering his promise to Pakhi. Emotional bgm plays in the background. Virat cries and folds his hands in front his babies saying, “I’m sorry Baada. I can’t take you in my arms.” He is about to leave when the babies cry. A Nurse enters and shushes them. Virat gets thinking, “What kind of test is this Bappa? Even though I became a Baba, I am not able to neither take my kids in my arms nor hold them close to my chest because of my promise.” He cries seeing his babies’ faces and sadly walks away.
A day later
The Chavan members bring Sai and her babies to home and do her grahpravesh. Virat was nowhere to be seen. Sai keeps looking around for Virat. Ashwini tells her, “He’s not here Sai.” As Sai enters, she sees Virat watching them from a distance above. She shows him her babies. Virat signs her that the babies look like her. Sai smiles. Just then Pakhi comes there, she fumes in jealously seeing the communication between Sai and Virat. On seeing Pakhi, Sai and Virat slowly stop their communication and move away.
8 months pass with Virat keeping a distance from Sai and her children. This disappointed not just Sai but also the other family members including Vinayak and Savi. Virat on the other hand even though stayed away from Sai and her children did not allow Pakhi to get close to him which dejected the latter. One day as Sai along with Vinayak and Savi were playing with the babies, Pakhi comes there. She calls Vinayak towards her however Vinayak tells her, “You are really bad Mumma, you snatched Baba away from us. I will never come to you.” On saying that he walks out of the room. Savi follows him. Pakhi was disappointed however she provokes Sai saying, “You broke my family by snatching my husband and my son from me. Now see your own family is broken. Your husband does not live with you and has not yet taken your two new-born children in his arms.” Sai looks angrily at her, “I know it is you who has forced him to take such a decision. But I bet you, before my kids’ naamkaran ceremony, Virat will take both of them in their arms. And he will himself pronounce their names into their ears.” Pakhi was both annoyed and nervous. She knew that whenever Sai has challenged her, she has always won the challenge. Pakhi, “Why do you think Virat will break his promise to me?” Sai, “Because I know he loves me and my children.” Pakhi, “All that is your false belief Sai. If your husband had loved your children wouldn’t he have taken them in his arms by now?” Sai was taken aback. She tells Patralekha, “He didn’t take them in his arms because of his promise to you. Nothing else!!” Pakhi, “No Sai, Virat has not taken these two children in his arms because he doesn’t love them.” Sai was disturbed after hearing that while Pakhi leaves smirking in thoughts, “Now let me see how you will make Virat come closer to you and your children.” Sai gets thinking, “Doesn’t Virat really love my children?”
Next day
Everyone except for Sai, Virat and their two babies were out of Chavan Nivas. Sai sees Virat alone reading the newspaper and decides to test if he really loved their babies or not. She goes near the babies catches her ears and says, “Sorry bada, Aai is going to hurt you but if I don’t hurt you. I will not come to know whether your Baba really loves you or not.” On saying that she pinches them and runs to hide. The babies start to cry loudly. Virat gets distracted hearing his babies wail. First he tries to ignore thinking that Sai would attend to them but as the babies continue to wail. He gets up and goes towards them. He tries to shush them but they continue to cry. Finally, when he has no option left he takes them in his arms. The babies stop crying when Virat takes them. Sai gets emotional and smiles thinking, “So Virat does love my babies.”
Next day, Surgesh Hospital
Virat goes to meet Dr. Satya. Satya was surprised to see Virat and asks him, “Now what brought you here DCP Virat Chavan?” Virat sighs and tells him, “It is something really important.” Satya invites him to his cabin, closes the door and then asks him, “Now tell me, what has brought you here?” Virat closes his eyes takes a deep long breath and tells Satya, “Accept Sai and my children.” Satya was amazed by his request. He asks Virat, “What are you saying? And why do you want me to accept them?” Virat, “Because I know you still love Sai.” Satya was taken aback, “But why do you want Sai and your children to be taken away from you?” Virat sadly, “Because I’m UNWORTHY OF them.”
City Hospital
Sai had come for vaccinating her babies unbeknownst to the fact that two child traffickers had been following her. Sai gets them vaccinated and is about to enter her car when the child traffickers push her, snatch her babies from her and run. Sai runs behind them but they escape. She shouts, “Give me back my children!! Give them back to me!!” But the child traffickers disappear with her babies.
Surgesh Hospital
Just as Virat and Satya were still talking. Virat receives a call through which he learns that his babies have been kidnapped.
