Ashwini cries on hearing about Pakhi goes forward and slaps Virat saying, “It happened all because of you, Its because of you that Patralekha got a paralysis attack.” Virat guiltily cries. Bhavani stops Ashwini saying, “What are you doing Ashwini? Why are you making him feel guilty?” Ashwini “Because it was because of him that Patralekha has undergone a brain stroke and is now paralyzed” Bhavani, “It’s not just him Ashwini but we all are equally responsible for this condition of Patralekha.” Ashwini is surprised and asks her, “What are you saying Wahini?” Bhavani, “I’m saying that even though we all knew that Virat loves Sai and can only love Sai, we all forced Patralekha upon him and it is a consequence of that we are facing now.” Ashwini was dumbstruck with Bhavani’s words. Bhavani, “Now whatever has happened cannot be changed, the only thing we can do for Patralekha is to take good care of her in this state of hers.” Everyone agrees. The Chavan family members complete the formalities of the hospital and return to their house with Patralekha. However, Virat is still filled with remorse and guilt considering himself responsible for whatever happened to Patralekha.
Next day morning, Surgesh Hospital
Sai comes to the hospital and waits for Satya. She thinks, “I can’t imagine what Satya must be going through after whatever happened yesterday. I need to talk to him.” She keeps waiting for Satya in his cabin when a nurse comes and informs her, “Dr. Satya is on leave today.” Sai was saddened on hearing that but makes up her mind saying, “No matter whatever happens, I will talk to Dr. Satya today.”
Chavan Nivas
Ashwini is busy feeding Patralekha saying, “Don’t worry Patralekha. Everything will become alright. You will get well soon and run around with us.” As she was feeding, Vinayak and Savi come there along with Usha. Usha had brought them to know what the condition in Chavan family was after knowing about Sai’s pregnancy the previous day. Vinayak was shocked to see a paralyzed Pakhi and cries asking, “Aaji what happened to Mumma?” Ashwini hugs and consoles him saying, “Na, na baada don’t cry. Your mumma will get well soon.” Vinayak looks up and asks, “But how did it happen Aaji?” Ashwini and Usha look on. Just then Bhavani tells him from behind, “It happened because your Mumma couldn’t accept the truth.” Vinayak asks her, “What truth Aaji?” Ashwini tries to stop her but Bhavani tells her, “Its better that they know the entire truth now Ashwini. They are old enough to understand what is happening in their Aai-Baba and Pakhi’s lives.” Bhavani then looks at the children and explains to them all that happened in Virat, Sai and Pakhi 7 years ago. The children were shocked to hear all that. Vinayak angrily asks, “So this condition of my mumma is because of Aai-Baba?” Bhavani, “No Vinu, infact, it is your Aai-Baba’s lives which is affected because of your mumma.” Savi, “What do you mean Badi Aaji?” Bhavani, “Baada, your Aai-Baba have always loved each other and deserve to be with each other, it was Patralekha who came always between them.” Pakhi glowered at Bhavani. She wanted to react but could not do it. Bhavani continues, “Now it is your both responsibility to bring your Aai-Baba together because…” Ashwini gasps and shakes her head signing Bhavani not to reveal it. Vinayak asks, “Because what badi aaji?” Bhavani not heeding to Ashwini “Because there’s a little brother or sister arriving for you.” The children were overwhelmed on hearing that. Savi, “Are you saying the truth Badi Aaji?” Bhavani, “Yes baada it is the truth. You will soon get a little brother or sister and then you, your Aai-Baba, Vinu can play together with the new baby.” Savi jumps in joy shouting, “Yay!! Aai-Baba has fulfilled my wish. I will get a little sister. Yay!! Yay!!” While Vinayak was still dejected. Bhavani asks him, “What happened Vinu baada? Aren’t you happy after hearing the good news?” Vinayak tells her, “Badi Aaji, I always wanted Aai-Baba to give me a younger brother but if Aai-Baba marry then what will happen to my Mumma.” Bhavani, “Vinayak, our whole family is with your Mumma. I promise that everyone in this family will take full care of her and will never let her feel alone.” Vinayak still not completely convinced keeps looking at Pakhi. Savi, “Come on Vinu Dada. Don’t you wish me, you, Aai, Baba and the new baby we all stay together?” Vinayak nods. Savi hugs him in delight. Bhavani smiles thinking, “Bappa, with your grace, the children have got convinced. Now I just hope that Sai, Virat too agree and together with Vinayak, Savi start a new life as a family.”
Adhikari House
Sai comes and knocks at the door. Maddie opens the door and gets irked on seeing Sai. She asks her, “Now why have you come here?” Sai, “Maddie I know you all are angry with me but just give me one chance to explain things to Satya.” Ambe Bai from behind, “Now what is left to explain Sai?” Satya’s Maushi and Aaji follow her. Ambe bai continues “You have done whatever you wanted to now just leave my son alone.” She instructs Maddie to close the door. But before Maddie could close the door completely, Satya calls out from behind saying, “Its ok Aai. I will talk to Sai for one last time.” The ladies object but Satya convinces them and goes out to talk with Sai.
Outside in Adhikari garden
Satya asks Sai, “Now what is it Sai, what brought you here?” Sai feels guilty for whatever happened and tells him, “I’m sorry Dr. Satya. I had never meant to hurt you. I promise I had wanted to start afresh a new family with you but…” she stops herself. Satya, “But you can’t do it right Dr. Sai Joshi?” Sai sadly looks on. Satya continues, “You know what Sai. Ever since I moved on from Girija and fell for you. I have always wanted to rule your heart and mind but yesterday when I came to know that you are…” He stops, gasps for a minute and continues, “Yesterday I realized that DCP Virat Chavan not just rules your heart and mind but he is there in every breath you take.” Sai’s eyes were filled with tears. Satya comes forward, catches Sai’s hand and removes his ring from her finger saying, “Here Dr. Sai Joshi, I’m freeing you from all the relations which binded you to me.” Sai was completely taken aback and did not know how to respond. Satya continues, “Return to your love!!” on saying that he swiftly turned around and goes inside in tears. Sai mournfully stared at him from behind and gazed at her ringless finger. She knew she was responsible for Satya’s condition but could not change the fact that she loved only Virat.
The day, Satya broke his engagement with Sai; She was shocked to learn that Pakhi had become paralyzed after undergoing a brain stroke. She felt sorry for Pakhi while Virat spent his days with guilt and remorse feeling responsible for Pakhi’s condition. Therefore, even though Virat had legally given divorce to Pakhi before her paralysis attack. He couldn’t move on with Sai out of guilt and remorse.
A week later
Bhavani calls Sai to the Chavan Nivas for a puja. Sai reaches there along with her kids. All the family members including Ashwini welcome her warmly and ask about her health as they knew she was carrying. Sai then looked at a paralytic Pakhi and apologizes to her for whatever happened. As she was still talking to Pakhi Virat comes there. They gazed affectionately at each other but do not come close to each other. Kaisa yeh rishta hai…Humko na samje…uditi hai patang jaise manjhe hai ulje……….ghum hai kisikey pyaar mein….. plays in the background. Bhavani noticing the love between them catches their hands and brings them to the front of the Bappa idol. Both Virat and Sai and the family members were surprised with Bhavani’s actions. After that Bhavani goes near the Bappa idol and takes the Sindoor box kept in front of the idol. She opens it and shows it to Virat. Virat was confused. Bhavani then instructs him, “Virat, take it and fill Sai’s hairline.” Everyone standing there was taken aback. Pakhi got furious. Virat asks Bhavani, “What are you saying Kaku? How can I do it?” Bhavani, “Why? What is wrong? Don’t you love Sai?” He gazes sadly at Sai and tells Bhavani, “Yes Kaku I do” Bhavani “Don’t you want to be a happy family with Sai and your children?” Virat sighs and tells, “Yes Kaku I want to” Bhavani asks, “Then what is wrong in filling Sai’s hairline and making her your wife?” Virat turned around, gazed sadly at Pakhi and asks Bhavani, “That what will become of Pakhi, Kaku?” Bhavani, “What will become of Pakhi? Hadn’t you given her divorce when she was in her right senses? So what is obstructing you from uniting with Sai and your family?” Virat was still perplexed and was unable to choose between Pakhi and Sai. Bhavani tells him, “Don’t think too much Virat, fill Sai’s hairline.” Pakhi wanted to get up and stop what was happening but she couldn’t. She tells in her mind, “No Virat!! Don’t do that.” Virat closes his eyes, takes a deep long breath, takes the sindoor from the sindoor box and fills Sai’s hairline. Tears rolled down Sai’s cheeks. Everyone standing there except for Pakhi was happy to see Virat fill Sai’s hairline. They clap and cheer him. The children run and hug Virat-Sai exclaiming, “Yay!!! Now Aai-Baba and us we will all live together as one family”. However, Virat wasn’t completely happy. He gave sad looks to both Sai and Pakhi. Tears filled Pakhi’s eyes, “Why Virat? How could you do this to me?” She moves her little finger in anger but none notices it as everyone is busy celebrating Virat and Sai’s reunion.
Night time
Sai was sitting and undressing her jewelery in front of the mirror when Virat comes there. Both feel the awkwardness in the situation. Sai instantly gets up and goes to sit on the bed with her back towards Virat while Virat too comes and sits on the bed without facing Sai. Finally, Virat breaks the silence, “Sai I know a lot happened between us in the last few days and now you are officially my wife. But I want to tell you something Sai.” Sai holds her breath and clenches the bedsheet in her hands as though she knew what Virat was about to say. Virat continues, “I can’t start a husband-wife relation between us when I hold myself responsible for Pakhi’s condition.” Sai turns around faces Virat and tells him, “I know Virat that for you your duty is the most important and right now you feel responsible towards Pakhi didi for whatever happened with her. Stay assured Virat, I will never force you to fulfill your duties towards me as a husband until and unless you are relieved of your guilt.” Virat feels grateful and lies down switching off the light on his side of the bed. Sai too lies down switching off the light.
Days pass with Virat and Sai continuing to maintain a distance in their bedroom life while putting on a happy face in front of their families. The families were happy to see Virat-Sai happily living with each other unbenowst to the fact that Virat was unable to go forward in his relationship because of his guilt towards Pakhi.
A month later
Virat is working in his office when he receives an anonymous video call. He picks up the call and was surprised to see that it was Ajay Kamble. Virat remembers the man Ajay Kamble who had tried to kill his son Vinayak on the Holi day. Virat angrily asks him, “What does he want?” Ajay Kamble tells him, “He doesn’t want anything from him but if the latter wants to save his wives then he will have come all alone to meet him.” Virat was shocked to hear that and sees both Pakhi and Sai held hostages by Kamble’s men. Virat warns Kamble that if anything happens to Pakhi or Sai then he will not spare him. Kamble laughs loudly and tells him, “First save them then talk.” Virat quickly gets up and reaches the venue which Kamble had sent him. There he sees that, Kamble’s men had kept Sai on a gunpoint and Pakhi at the edge of a cliff.
