Remains of love
Usha comes running on seeing Sai retch and asks her, “Sai are you not feeling well?” Sai tells her, “Maushi I think its food poisoning. I will take some medicine and take rest.” Usha, “Take care of yourself Sai. Don’t forget it’s your marriage tomorrow.” Sai sadly looked on.
Chavan Nivas
Virat returns home after making sure that all had gone to sleep. He comes to his room and silently enters the washroom to change without letting Pakhi wake up. However as he comes out, he sees Pakhi waiting for him outside. He ignores her and goes to take his things from the cupboard. Pakhi follows him and asks, “You went out today morning along with the kids. I called at your office and came to know that you were not there the whole day. Where have you been all the time? And where are the kids?” Virat continues to ignore her and keeps meddling with his stuff in his cupboard. Pakhi getting irritated asks again, “I’m asking you something Virat.” Virat again gives her a cold shoulder. Pakhi finally losing patience, goes near him, catches his hand and pulls him saying, “Do you think I’m a stone? I’m asking you from that time where were you, where are the kids and you are completely ignoring me!!! Tell me where is Vinu and Savi.” Virat, “I have entrusted them to Sai.” Pakhi was taken aback; she pushes him and shouts, “How can you do that Virat???” The whole Chavan Nivas wakes up listening to their commotion. All rush towards Pakhi and Virat’s bedroom listening to the noises. Pakhi continues to shout, “How can you entrust the kids to Sai?? Sai had left them here in Chavan Nivas to lead her own life. From then on, they have been my children not Sai’s.” Virat replies, “Sai had left them here so that they can be with their family but that does not change the fact that they are Sai’s children.” Pakhi comes forward and slaps Virat asking “How you can say that? How can you say that?” She continues to slap him until Bhavani stops her saying, “Are you out of your mind Patralekha? You are raising your hand on your husband.” Pakhi shouts at her, “Then ask your favorite son what he is doing!!” Bhavani tries to calm down Pakhi and asks Virat, “Virat what are we hearing? You have entrusted your kids to Sai. Why?” Virat, “Because the kids missed Sai badly Kaku. They needed her. I promised to get them their Aai back but I couldn’t keep up my promise.” Pakhi, “So you entrusted them to Sai? Why didn’t you think even once about me? About what will happen to me before doing that?” Virat, “I only did the best thing that a Baba could do for his children.” Pakhi, “Why do all your actions favor Sai always? And why do I have to face the brunt of those actions?” Virat gloomily, “Because I love Sai!!!” The whole family was shocked to hear Virat confess. Pakhi stammers, “What did you say?” Virat, “You have heard it right Pakhi. I love Sai and have always only loved her which is why I was never able to neither love you nor fulfill my duties as a good husband.” Kya dekhna tha…aur kya dikha hai…kismet mein jaane meri kya kya likha hai..thama bhi nahi tha meine aur haath chuta…ek aayne ke jaise har khwaab toota…milne se pehle mili judaai…apni kisseyka kyun hai yeh anjaam..Ghum hai kisikey pyaar mein plays in the background. All the family members get emotional hearing his words. Virat continues, “And now I have decided to free you from this loveless relationship.” Pakhi’s eyes widen in fear. All the family members were awestruck. Virat goes to his cupboard takes out the divorce papers and hands them to Pakhi, “Here I’m freeing you from all the binds of this toxic loveless marriage.” Pakhi catches him saying, “No Virat no…you can’t do this to me!! You can’t do this to me!!” She instantly hugs him and says, “I’m your wife!! You can’t do this to your wife!!” Virat frees her from his bosom and says, “Enough Pakhi enough!! Even you know how suffocated we both were in this relationship then why do you want to continue it?” Pakhi cries. Virat shakes his head and is about to leave when Ashwini stops him saying, “Godu please don’t do this. You need someone’s hand to walk through your life and Patralekha is that hand for you.” Virat, “Aai who can understand better than you that how difficult it becomes when the hand which is supposed to support you through your life becomes a chain in your neck. A chain which chokes you. Isn’t it better to break that chain and live freely than live suffocating in it?” Ashwini gazes at him sadly. Virat again turns around to leave when Pakhi calls out saying, “Fine Virat if you want to leave me for Sai then fine for me!!! But I want to know what does Sai wants?” Virat frowningly, “What do you mean by what Sai wants? Can’t you see what she wants? She is getting married to Dr. Satya tomorrow!!” Pakhi, “I bet all this is her drama and I won’t be convinced until and unless I see her getting married with my own eyes. So tomorrow I will go to Sai’s marriage and ask her if she is marrying for real or just faking it.” After saying that, she wipes her tears and walks past Virat giving him a dirty glare. After Pakhi goes out, Bhavani warns Virat, “We need to keep eye on Patralekha Virat!! Now she is completely broken after having lost everything she loves both you and your children. She can do anything.” Virat anxiously looked on.
Next day Marriage day
Satya’s house
Satya’s aaji, mom, maushi and sister were dressed in bright colors as they were delighted to see Satya finally getting married. They were busy with the decorations and arrangements when Satya comes there dressed handsomely as the bridegroom. Ambe Bai’s eyes fills with tears seeing her son dressed as the groom. She goes forward rubs some kajal from her eyes and applies them under Satya’s neck saying, “Let all evil be warded off from my son.” Satya, “Arre Aai how can any any evil even reach your son when he is getting married to his good luck charm?” Ambe Bai smiles and playfully taps his chin. Maddie comes there and teases saying, “Aai looks like your Sattu is desperately waiting to get married.” Satya chases her for teasing. She runs and disappears. Satya catching his breath, shouts, “Wait until I get my hands on you Maddie!!” Maddie, “Leave me Satya, first get your hands on Sai” Satya blushes on hearing that. He reminisces his moments with Sai. A smile passes through his face while he says, “You changed me into a new man Sai, I’m justing waiting for you to become my life partner.”
Guest room in Satya’s house; Since the marriage is taking place in Satya’s house, Sai and Usha had come to Satya’s house
Sai is shown getting dressed in front of the mirror. She has finished wearing her jewelery and was putting on her bindi when Virat comes and stands behind. Both their eyes sadly look at each other. Asaan nahi tha tumse bichadna…ek pal mein jaise sau baar marna…kya chahti hai kismet yeh humse…kyun haarti hai khushiyaan har bar gham se…mushkil hai jeena bina tumhare…jaane kab dil ko milega aaram..ooo ….ghum hai kisikey pyaar mein…..plays in the background. Sai tells herself, “Bappa what is happening to me? Today I’m getting married to Satya and I’m imagining Virat?” It is when Virat tells her, “You look beautiful!!” Sai was surprised on realizing that Virat had been there for real. Sai turns around and asks him, “Virat you here? What is the matter?” Virat, “I came here to warn you.” Sai, “Warn me about what?” Virat is about to say when Pakhi comes there saying, “I will tell you.” Virat looked fearfully at her and tries to stop her saying, “Pakhi…” but before he can Pakhi shows her hand to him. She then tells him, “Today is Sai’s marriage and don’t you think I hold the first right to give her the good news?” Sai confusedly, “Warn?? Good news?? What are you both talking about??” Pakhi then sternly looked at Virat and tells him, “Virat would you excuse us ladies to have some private chat together?” Virat is reluctant. Pakhi assures him, “Don’t worry Virat I wouldn’t say or do anything to Sai which would cause any issue in this marriage.” Virat looks distressly at Sai and half-heartedly leaves. He tells in his mind, “I hope Pakhi doesn’t do anything which would disturb Sai or her marriage.” After Virat leaves Pakhi smiles at Sai and asks her, “So how does it feel to get married for a second time?” Sai counter asks, “You should be knowing it better Mrs. Patralekha Chavan as you have lived that experience already!!” Pakhi, “My experience came to an end yesterday thanks to you Sai.” Sai was perplexed. Pakhi “You didn’t understand. Let me make things more clear. You ex-husband and my current…ah no he is not my current too anymore. DCP Virat Chavan has given me divorce.” For a moment, Sai felt the floor beneath her was shaken off her feet. She couldn’t believe her ears. Pakhi puts forth, “And you know why he did that? Because he loves you and can only love you his whole life.” Sai felt the world revolving around her hearing Pakhi’s words and was unable to respond. Pakhi continues, “I hope you have no intentions to return to Virat’s life as you are getting married today.” Sai looked on as she didn’t understand how and what to reply. Pakhi hugs Sai and wishes her, “Have an everlasting marriage this time” and leaves after wishing her. Sai felt nauseaus and giddy after listening to whatever Pakhi told her. Pakhi’s words kept echoing in her ears, “Virat Chavan…divorce…loves you..only you..” As she was feeling sick and restless. Usha comes there and tells her, “What are you still doing here Sai? Everyone is waiting for you outside.” Sai tries to compose herself and goes with Usha.
Outside
Everyone is waiting for Sai to come to the mandap. Bhavani asks Virat, “Don’t you want to stop this marriage?” Virat replies, “If you love someone wholeheartedly Kaku then you have to let them free which is what I have done. If someone is meant for us then they will return to our lives somehow.” Just then Sai comes there along with Usha. Before going up the mandap, Sai stares at Virat, the latter reciprocates Kaisa yeh rishta hai…Humko na samje…uditi hai patang jaise manjhe hai ulje……….ghum hai kisikey pyaar mein….. plays in the background. Usha leads Sai to the foot of the mandap. Satya forwards his hand to Sai. Sai keeps her hand on Satya’s hand and climbs up. Virat hearbrokenly looked on. Soon the antarpat is drawn between Sai and Satya. Virat brokenheartedly watched the proceedings of the marriage. Sai starts feeling restless again with Pakhi’s words starting to echo in her ears “Virat Chavan…divorce..loves you..only you..” She feels giddy and falls down. Everyone exclaim “Sai!!” Satya runs forward, lifts her in his arms and hurries to a room. One of the decorators tries to warn him of a miswiring in the switch box in that room but neither Satya nor anyone else listens to to the man. Satya calls his gynac colleague and asks her to check Sai. The doctor asks everyone to wait outside. After a few minutes, the doctor comes outside shakes hands with Satya saying, “Congratulations Dr. Satya. She is PREGNANT!!” All were stunned to hear that.
